Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite guild achievement?

That's a Lot of Bait. It had been teasing us for weeks. I had the achievement tracker enabled for it, slowly watching the number creep upwards. The guild had spent one memorable evening (about three hours!) in Borean Tundra, half the group assigned to kill creatures and drop into the lake, thus creating blood pools, and the other half fishing out of them, racking up the numbers. We joked and chatted on Vent and in general had a wonderful time working together.
After that, people worked on their own to raise the numbers. Finally, sitting at about 9,500, the guild leader called together another raid group to get our butts back out to Borean and get the rest of the fish. With about 15 of us working together, we blasted out the remaining 500 fish in about 20 minutes.
We all know that fishing is notorious for being a mindnumbing profession (although archaeology may have knocked it into second place), but I loved the nights spent fishing with my guild -- great people who are funny and kind, working together to knock out that achievement and earn the recipe. It really felt like a team effort, and I was proud to have been a part of it.
Is there an achievement that really brought your guild together as a team?

My favourite used to be the Knuckle Sandwich one (where you trained your unarmed fighting to 400) but sadly that's been removed, along with the weapon training!
Ok, maybe I'm not that sad about it.
These days, I'd go for "To all the Squirrels I've loved before". I just love the name of the achievement.

.....yeah Revnah, it says GUILD achievement *facepalm*
Sorry folks - feel free to ignore/downvote/etc! I'll go to the garden now, dig a hole and lie down inside it.

Someone should read the title again! Any pvp guild achieve makes my list don't have a particular

I think this is Guild Acheesements, Revnah. :)

Actually you are on the right path in a sense, they are not guild achieves but the ones I like are any ones I can help guildies on. Some holiday achieves or "Going down". It's always a good time to get a group of people together working towards something. Even if it's getting drunk and jumping 65 yards ;) (they removed that from brewfest but I think you still get a FoS)

My guild had a lot of fun with the fishing achievement too.

Our GM had heard about the Borean Tundra technique for fishing, but I had other ideas. I convinced him to go to the pools just south of Wailing Caverns and the others in Northern Barrens to get deviate fish. Achievement and money, lots of money ftw.

I enjoyed earning the Critter Getter achievements with our guild. We had a great time grouping up and pwning critters in that cave in the plaguelands!!

That was probably the most fun for us so far but the one that gets me smiling will always be the PvP ones like "Orcslayer". Reminds me we still have lots of work to do /grin.

Busting our butts to get realm first 25 :) Was fun and we nabbed the achievement 15 mins ahead of another guild.

Definitely nabbing the lvl25 first on our realm. The last day was crazy, with everybody and their alts running heroics and dailies together, ending with a raid in the evening. Having the whole guild work together, raiders, non-raiders, pvp'ers, truely an epic day!

Unfortunately, I am in a small social guild and we are stalled at L.3. hehe. Right now I am the only one the logs in, the others are suffering from burnout our RL has caught up with them.
I really wish Blizz would make it easier for smaller guilds to gain EXP/REP. :( Oh, well. I just keep plugging away at it. One advantage I am having is that I have come a long way in the critter killing acheivement. hehehe

The guilds I've been working with are spending the majority of their time on the "Remain Active During Cataclysm" achievement. They're not doing so well. Bitter? Me? Well...
Anyway, I will say that sounds like you had a good time in BT, and I never even thought about using the Blood Frenzy trick. Good thinking!

My guild was a bunch of slackasses. The GM and I sat in Twilight Highlands for over an hour cranking out endless stacks of South Island Iced Tea to get the first recipe unlocked, Broiled Dragon Feast. Well over a 1500g in vendor mats. There's still stacks of the stuff in the vault. Several months into Cata and still seeing that number of fish hovering around 3,500 I buckled down and in less than 2 weeks nabbed that 10,000th fish for the Seafood Magnifique recipe. Picked up a Sea Turtle on my shaman in the process, which I felt was duly earned.

Sounds like my guild. We have like 4-6 people who like going after achieves. Most of the others are on the hamster wheel chugging for gear. As a GM it would be nice if we got rewards from achievements to hand out to those who deserve more :)

My favorite achievement is Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider, because of the cool mount. At least...it will be if we ever get it...
Kurtis Jul 13th 2011 8:27AM
When we got Crittergeddon, there was lots of cheering in gchat. One of the players joked that he thought about leaving it at 99,999/100,000 but it's hard to be that precise with AOE.
We're also really close to Stay Classy (a level 85, honored toon from every race/class combo) - 3 characters to go. That one's been my personal crusade for a while - not only leveling some toons myself for it, but also highlighting our progress on the guild forum and encouraging the others who were helping out.

Hands down - Creepjackers. 1,000,000 PVP kills. Vauntgard on Kel'Thuzad.
