I hope they expand this to cover BGs and Arenas too.

Does anyone know if BGs are cross region like LFD is or if they are datacenter based? By datacenter based I mean that in BGs/Arena you only get people from realms that belong to the different battlegroups hosted in the datacenter your realm is hosted in.

Not long before Cata's release they made it so there are no battlegroups anymore. They are all in one pool now so you can get people from any realm.
