The Queue: At least I've got video
That video is in response to yesterday's Queue.
Also, it is relatively bad ass and is probably something none of us can do.
Cyrromatic asked:
What happened to Arthas's body? Can't imagine it laying in front of Bolvar forever.
Scourge ate it.
(In all honesty, we don't know. It's probably in a mausoleum someplace at the Icecrown Citadel.)
Gimp asked:
When you make a new toon you get pets in the mail, like the blizzcon and the collectors edidion pets.
I often make alts way before I start playing them, mainly to get the full rested bonus. On my last alt, I never did collect the pets from the mail and the mail disappeared after 30 days, is there any other way of getting them back?
Talk with a GM. That's the only way I've heard to get those types of mounts and noncombat pets back. Some of them might be BoA, as well, so if you make another character, you can transfer them the toon you want.
Mik3st3r asked:
I thought that MMO-Champion had found some coding indicating that heirloom pants would come in 4.2. Was this idea scrapped?
MMO-C found them via datamining, which means only that some of the values were in the game files. It doesn't mean that the pants will make it into the actual game. That's why you take datamining with a grain of salt; it's only a little better than reading tea leaves.
And no, before people get all cranky, I'm not saying MMO-C is a bad site or anything. Hell, I go there often. I am saying you should listen to the warning that everyone says about datamining and not assume just because you see it that it will become a reality.

murmaiderxx Jul 14th 2011 3:44PM
That's it someone connect Kevin Bacon to WoW somehow.
Noselacri Jul 14th 2011 4:37PM
WoW -> Jay Mohr (blizzcon) -> Helen Hunt (Pay it Forward) -> Bill Paxton (Twister) -> Kevin Bacon (Apollo 13).
I has win?

I love the giant, red, bolded text Boubouille often prefaces datamining with. You know, the text that still gets forgotten/ignored/missed somehow. :P

Wait... so we didn't destroy Arthas' body after we defeated him?
Please tell me someone at least followed Rule #2 and Double Tapped him.
Vitos Jul 14th 2011 11:18AM
Nobody had a gun when we killed him. Next time I'll remember to bring a hunter.

arthas is buried in sw theres a guarded tomb with the symbol of lordaeron on it
Jason Jul 14th 2011 12:15PM
If you're referring to what was talked about in yesterday's Queue comments, that was all mere speculation and theories. No one has actually confirmed the location of his body.
Straz Jul 14th 2011 12:34PM
I doubt they would bury him in Stormwind since he had no connection to that kingdom in the first place.
Batleth Jul 14th 2011 12:50PM
I wouldn't be surprised in the least, if we find one day that Sylvanaas has Arthas' body and has reanimated him, just for $#!t$ and giggles...
If we ever dispatch her in game, he'll be some macabre puppet propped up against the wall in her throne room. If there's any NPC in game that can make Arthas a sympathetic figure, its her.
Marcosius Jul 14th 2011 1:09PM
That's likely a memorial for King Terenas, or the lost lands of Lordaeron in general - Lordaeron took in tons of refugees after Stormwind - the city and kingdom - were razed by the Orcs. Many many humans must've been heartbroken upon hearing what happened to the once glorious and kind Kingdom.
Hob Jul 14th 2011 5:03PM
@Batleth
I hadn't considered that possibility, but I definitely hope it's the case. (I personally disagree with Arthas seeming "sympathetic" after being left with Sylvanas ~ in contrast, if there's any one NPC in WoW who deserves that fate, it's Arthas.) Perhaps his body is the "bargaining chip" that Sylvanas is using with the val'kyr.
Hmmm....

any plans for the guildwarch columns to return?
Pyromelter Jul 14th 2011 2:16PM
I highly doubt it. Also enjoyed your purposeful mis-spelling - anyone who tries to type the real full name of the former best column on wow insider will get that weird message, and you won't be able to actually post a comment with that word in it.
I really have to believe that there was some extremely severe drama between the former writer of that column and the management at AOL/Wowinsider, because outside of the queue, that was the most popular column on the site, and when it went away, there was no goodbye or anything.
Samuel Jul 14th 2011 5:53PM
Guilldwatch?
Stan Jul 15th 2011 5:51PM
It appears the former writer of the column is still employed through AOL. Per his own website, "he works as a lead editor in AOL's Mediaglow group, writing for both The Unofficial Apple Weblog and Joystiq about Apple, technology, video games, and all sorts of interesting things."
If I were to venture a guess, it would be that no one bothered or was assigned to take up that mantle and they just let it go. Further, I would think the title is censored because they may have already gotten many questions asking what happened to it.
