The Queue: At least I've got video
That video is in response to yesterday's Queue.
Also, it is relatively bad ass and is probably something none of us can do.
Cyrromatic asked:
What happened to Arthas's body? Can't imagine it laying in front of Bolvar forever.
Scourge ate it.
(In all honesty, we don't know. It's probably in a mausoleum someplace at the Icecrown Citadel.)
Gimp asked:
When you make a new toon you get pets in the mail, like the blizzcon and the collectors edidion pets.
I often make alts way before I start playing them, mainly to get the full rested bonus. On my last alt, I never did collect the pets from the mail and the mail disappeared after 30 days, is there any other way of getting them back?
Talk with a GM. That's the only way I've heard to get those types of mounts and noncombat pets back. Some of them might be BoA, as well, so if you make another character, you can transfer them the toon you want.
Mik3st3r asked:
I thought that MMO-Champion had found some coding indicating that heirloom pants would come in 4.2. Was this idea scrapped?
MMO-C found them via datamining, which means only that some of the values were in the game files. It doesn't mean that the pants will make it into the actual game. That's why you take datamining with a grain of salt; it's only a little better than reading tea leaves.
And no, before people get all cranky, I'm not saying MMO-C is a bad site or anything. Hell, I go there often. I am saying you should listen to the warning that everyone says about datamining and not assume just because you see it that it will become a reality.

Question for the Queue:
In WSG I can always see the location of my team's flag carrier, but not always the enemy's flag carrier.
What determines when I can or cannot see the location of the EFC?
Arrohon Jul 14th 2011 12:09PM
I believe you can once chat says that the flag carriers are now vulnerable. It might actually be before this but I'm pretty sure you can't see their FC unless both teams are holding the flags.
loop_not_defined Jul 14th 2011 12:16PM
It has to do with how long the enemy has been holding the flag, if I remember right. Wasn't that feature implemented to prevent hiding the flag to stall the game?
AudreyR Jul 14th 2011 12:17PM
I'm not sure what goes into it, myself. I've often seen it pop up after they've left our base. However, sometimes it waits until after they're almost to theirs.
The message seems to have little to do with it. I assume it's a bit buggy.
Doffencrag Jul 14th 2011 12:29PM
As far as I can tell, you can't see the EFC for a fixed time after they grab your flag. Now as for the amount of time, I can't say - never really tried to measure it.
You can always tell where your FC is though.
Saeadame Jul 14th 2011 12:51PM
I always thought it was that you can't see the EFC while they're still in your base, as that's usually the case in my games.
Thiron Jul 14th 2011 3:54PM
I'm quite sure that you can see enemy flag carrier, as long as it's in line of sight of anyone on your team
icepyro Jul 14th 2011 4:23PM
I think Thiron is correct. From my observations, it's either LoS with one of your teammates or targettable tracking (kinda like NPC Scan and other such scanners). Given how semi-small WSG is, I haven't really tested it.

What dps should I be looking to bring to contribute enough for heroic firelands content? I'm a benchwarmer in a top 2-3 server guild and would like to make it to core raider. (My mage bursted 36k on shannox reg, and ended the fight at 22k)
Puntable Jul 14th 2011 12:37PM
I think hardcore guilds care less about DPS meters, and more about their raiders making mistakes and ignoring boss mechanics because they are obsessed with the DPS meter.
rice2007 Jul 14th 2011 12:57PM
If you're in the top, shouldn't we be asking you that question? Or asking someone in your guild?
Noyou Jul 14th 2011 1:07PM
I smell troll. If you are in a "top 2-3 guild" wouldn't they tell you exactly what you need to not be a "benchwarmer"? Just askin.
Jimson Jul 14th 2011 1:47PM
He may be trolling, but I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt for a few reasons:
1) He said "top 2-3" on his server, not in the world. Check out progression on some of the smaller servers sometime... I know Horde-side on my server is woefully under-represented, and the Ally side is rather small, but we're listed as a "medium" population. Can't imagine some of these backwater server pops.
2) Maybe he recently joined this guild and doesn't know anyone that well, or his guild is just full of Elitist Jerks (the bad kind, not the awesome dudes who theorycraft and make it easier for the rest of us).
Anyways, to his question: first off, you should check out WoL (or anywhere else your guild posts data). Assuming you are being held out SOLELY due to DPS, and not for any other factors (attendance, standing in fire, attitude, etc.), that will give you a baseline. Also, many guilds will post guidelines on their website with respect to moving up in ranks. Check that out, if it exists, and see if you fit. Finally, if all else fails... approach an officer, or class leader, or someone in power OUTSIDE OF RAID TIME and directly ask how to join the core group.
Pyromelter Jul 14th 2011 2:48PM
I'm in with the people who smell troll, but I mightily disagree with Puntable.
Top guilds EXPECT that you don't fail on mechanics. If you can't handle mechanics, you aren't going to be worthy of their raids. Once you prove that you know how to not stand in a fire, then you must differentiate yourself as a DPS. Top guilds require top dps. If you play a class or spec that isn't hitting certain benchmarks, they will either bench you, or your entire class, often times to stack a class that has some kind of advantage on that fight. Affliction warlocks on yogg-saron 0 lights, druids on nefarion heroic, just to name 2 examples of that.
Sapphiria Jul 14th 2011 12:31PM
I first saw and liked Greg Patillo on iCarly, and he was awesome. I really hope I have the same guy as he does look like him....
Wonder what I could do while I play my Oboe??
Q for the Q
A few years ago I tempted to play a horde to learn some of the lore. I cannot remember the quest giver that had me go out and Slay "cenarion daughters/sisters in Ashenvale. I cant help but think it was Hamul runetotem, yet that would be against his druid nature and a student of Cenarion himself... Please tell me I am wrong!
Matthew Jul 14th 2011 1:55PM
I never understood this quest either. I was a druid and I was like. . . what going on here? Is this a trap ?
Someone, please explain why I was asked to kill those frolicking nature beasts in stonetalon!
Hurbster Jul 14th 2011 4:07PM
I think the stonetalon murderquests were given by a very bitter and twisted blood elf.
VioletArrows Jul 14th 2011 4:15PM
I know the quest you're thinking of, and that wasn't Hamuul. The guy at the meeting circle outside of Baine's hut is likely a shaman (the quest as I recall is a zone transfer about messing the 1000N centaur), who kinda honestly have a meh attitude towards anything concerning nelves.
coville Jul 14th 2011 12:34PM
Hunters need more space in the stables? 20 is not nearly enough with all the new rare and exotic pets available. Bump that up to 100 and we wont ask for more until the next patch.
Join me brothers and sisters, Hunters everywhere rise up and demand more stable slots!
Noyou Jul 14th 2011 1:11PM
No. I must be one of the few hunters who has not filled his stable yet. And I went around collecting pets after cata came out. I have like 3-4 cats and all kinds of pets that I haven't and probably will never use. It's nice to be able to have a good stable of pets to swap out and have fun with but seriously. If you can't make 20 work you are not going to make 25 30 or 50 work either. Am I right? I would most certainly rather have more space in my bags or bank slots before we get more space for hunter pets thank you very much. Like a spot for tabards.
