So it is a FACT that only one person gets to see that quest? So only one per realm gets to do it, huh? Of course not, Mat's argument is meaningless. This is just more good lore scene that is being limited only the to hardcore raiders, magic dps raiders at that.
Mathew McCurley Jul 16th 2011 9:21PM
Just watch it on YouTube if you're so upset about it.

I will do so. Haven forbid I play the game to see the story. As a healer I'd have no chance to see it anyway. Is 'watch it on YouTube' the best endorsement/defense for this design? No wonder the game is losing subscribes. Perhaps some of the other commenter here will have better arguments. I look forward to reading them.
Mr. McCurley, if it really was only one per realm I would still disagree with that design, but your statement of 'fact' in the update was simply incorrect and to have a discussion it helps to have those things straight.

Everyone makes mistakes. Chewing someone out for it and acting like a complete jerk to them because of it isn't necessary at all. And you call this a "discussion"? I'd hate to see what you called an 'argument.' You could have simply said that Mr. McCurley was mistaken about the quest only being available to one person per server, and you would have gotten the same message across, and possibly an apology from Mr. McCurley for the miscommunication.
But no. You had to act like you'd been personally insulted and had your dog kicked. Sad, really.

C'mon, it's end-game content. Which according to Blizz means we should all be raiding. We all knew this when we subbed for the game as it has been their philosophy for years.
New dailies are ok but (in my opinion) just another grind. So (as my sub runs out 10.30pm today, and I have zero interest in raiding) I'm taking a few months off to recharge my batteries.
As everyone on the podcast likes to say, all my characters will be there when I get back.

My intent was saying "one person per legendary." The point of the comment was that during the quest line, you technically shouldn't be seeing what you are seeing, but one person DOES get to see it.
Excuse my phrasing.

And nice defense of Garrosh as well. It's a bit unfortunate when you have to defend a lore character all the time because of the way Blizzard portray him in game (which is the only way the vast majority of players will see him). My personal opinion - yeah he's an idiot.
At some point the Tauren druids will be putting their hooves down about the Hordes rampant ecological destruction, or will it be swept under the carpet like Alliance closure for Southshore ? Horde gets closure for Taurajo, but the way bigger horror just gets a few jokey quests ?

I want this addressed. I have no idea how they could do it, though. I have some ideas.

I have a question about the podcast itself. Was there some tech issue that didn't let itunes download it for six days? While it was recorded on the 11th it didn't hit itunes (for me) until the 17th. I've noticed it a couple times in the past where the post in the site doesn't link to a downloadable file in itunes. I'm sorry if I missed the reason for this delay but it seems a bit odd.
Mathew McCurley Jul 18th 2011 9:50AM
Yes, there are tech issues with the RSS feed. We are doing our absolute best to figure out the issue.

Thanks for the good laugh at the beginning with the "long form" jokes. I had to pause it for a few seconds there. That gave me a great idea, though: You guys should come up with a short list of quirks of each host from the long form show and turn it into a drinking game.
For example: Every time Sacco comments on the difficulty of pronouncing an email sender's name, you drink; Every time Rossi mispronounces "Scourge" as "Scorge", you drink; Every time someone says "Alysrazor" in that voice, you drink; Etc.
That being said, am I the only one who thought Mat was about to say Sacco has "fantastic hair"? Caught me off guard when he said "Internet" =P
