The books are *ok* not stellar works of fiction, but not utter crap either. The reason why I don't like Knaack is because he has a tendency to destroy lore that is already established / destroy the backstories of characters, not to mention the fact that he doesn't have a SINGLE strong FEMALE lead in any of his books iirc (including non warcraft novels). I can deal with the mary-sue/gary-stu aspects, but changing Tyrande from a strong battle hardened leader into a squealing little girl who needs Mal's or Broll's help for EVERYTHING in stormrage sealed the deal for me.
