Dinner Party is an episodic installment from Smash Productions. Other movies exist about the two main characters, but I'll admit this is the first one I've seen. Essentially, the two characters wake up in a cage to find they're about to be eaten by wild gnomes. I feel like we've seen that plot before, but every video has to start somewhere.
What really impressed me about Dinner Party was how well the fight scenes were handled. It's difficult to get convincing action out of WoW's tired old models, but Smash did an amazing job of making it work. The choreography felt natural; the movements had none of the choppiness you might expect in simple game footage.
The dialogue felt like it could have used a little more tightening up, but overall, I was impressed with Dinner Party.

I understand that people want to get their name out there and get credit for creations but seriously, a minute before the video plays? Seems excessive.
I agree about the dialogue needing a little tweaking, but honestly, the only thing that keeps me from wanting to watch more videos in the series is the voice acting. It's not that the acting needs to be a lot "better", just different. I don't really buy the voices; I don't think the characters' appearances match the voices they're given.
Everything else about it was a triumph and a true show of the creators' skill. The animation quality, fight scene choreography, visual appeal, soundtrack, flow, and everything else is less on the level of machinima, more on the level of professional productions.

I don't understand.
It's not just the animation, the combat scenes, the "newbie" sidekick...
This is a great movies in which gnomes are completely pwned!
And jungle gnomes, of all the gnomes!
Do give this movie the credit it deserves...
