I use crapaway to sell all my greys, and i think repair_fu (a fubar addon) to autorepair (it also lets you repair with guild money). I don't have anything for auto-releasing when i die.

Not that you actually asked, but the General settings of the PvP module in DBM has an auto-release option in BGs, I use that all the time.
