Actually, here's how I like to open for threat, at least when using Divine Plea:1. Open with Judgment (hopefully getting a Sacred Duty proc)2. Crusader Strike (for 1 HP)3. Inquisition (You only get 4 seconds with this, so you have to be able to make this land.)4. Divine Plea5. Shield of the RighteousIf you can swing that, SotR ought to hit hard. Add in Avenging Wrath as a prelude if you're so inclined.

If I have to pull in a hurry, with no time to exorcism I usually just plea, wings, run in and judge/AS on the pull, then hit with a big SoR. But yeah, using inquisition and exorcism earlier sure seems like more threat. However, I find that the dps often jumps the gun when I do it that way :/

The only real problem with that method is you are spending 5 GCDs to cement your threat. While it might be more effective(I'm not crunching any numbers) you can only get away with that sort of thing in an organized raid, as your typically pugger will unload the second they see an attack connect. Hell, I've made the mistake of swapping seals during the run-up and that's been enough to convince the mage it was go time.

Also worth noting is that if your ShotR happens to miss, a very real possibility, then your entire system is thrown out, as the short Inq will fall off before you get second shot at ShotR and if the second one misses (another real possibility) your Sacred Duty proc, assuming you had one, is gone as well, and you've just gone 10.5 seconds doing nothing but auto attacking.

My starting rotation goes a little something like this:1. Open with Avenger's Shield while shouting "Shield Slash!" in my best Captain America from MvC3 voice.2. Follow up with Crusader Strike, while mimicking Herod's "Blades of Light!" battle cry.3. Forget that I was tanking, and look through my non-combat pets for something that fits the mood and graphical style of the instance.4. Completely fail to maintain any aggro and wipe.5. Blame the healer.6. Get slapped by my wife, who is more often then not playing the role of healer.7. Blame the DPS.8. Get yelled at by the DPS for being a "Noobmunch", whatever that is.9. Start screaming into my headset (which is, of course, not plugged in) about all the "Uncalled for Tankadin hate" and how I had to "Go Holy for 3 months straight back in Classic WoW just to get into Molton Core raids" which earns me my right to play however I want.10. Rage Quit.Works every time! What were we talking about again?
