As with some of the above commenters, I've also wondered why the push to use DP on Inquisition rather than Judgement/DP and a nice big (hopefully critical) SotR to the face as an opener? Have numbers ever been run comparing the methods?

At low levels of hit/expertise (as we'll often have in raids), ShoR has a nasty habit of missing, especially early on when you need it most. Our spell hit is much better thanks to all the free spell hit chance we get, and as a result you'll often so more damage using Inquisition to buff your opening spells.

From what I remember from reading tank forums, the numbers WERE crunched, and DP>Inq>Exo>AS etc... was generally the highest threat sequence. I was skeptical like a lot of people, but I also sometimes had threat issues early on, especially with highly-geared DPS and my hit/expertise so low. So I gave it a try and it works perfectly for me in terms of threat. Now I almost never have threat issues in the early game, no matter their gear. I even have the sequence macroed so there's no mistake for my lazy self.
