i don't mind snide comments about mages. i can laugh at these jokes. what bothers me is that i saw a quest writer and thought !!! we might actually get some insight this time, instead of ANOTHER useless "how to play nice with others" or "mage 101.9.5" or some other such. you look at shamans or warriors or pallies and they get dungeon guides, boss guides, strategies, gear analysis.... as much as the usual writer makes me chuckle, i never learn anything, unlike when i learn about avoidance tables or optimal gearing. the guy promised us an in depth look at the three classes and then never went past arcane. is that a snide comment on the usefulness of classes? I GET THE FEELING that Arcane Brilliance isn't written by someone whose main is a mage or even plays a mage that often. this is no better. this is par for the course, only instead of patronizing me and flaming locks, it does the opposite.whatever.

"I never learn anything"That REALLY sums up this column. Just skim over some of the past topics to find the real "gems". An entire column dedicated to saying "you need to be hit capped". One dedicated to explaining the patch notes after GC had posted an explanation of the patch notes. Last weeks was an asinine debate about a topic that did not matter.I come here in hopes of useful information, not WoW-Rookie style advice with lame "comedic" filler.

Do you really want another writer doing the exact same "How to do X Boss" article? I usually watch a guide video that will tell you how to do the encounter- no matter what your role is in the raid.As far as gear guides-I imagine Archmage Pants doesn't do those guides to often, because more often then not, they are just reprints of what is found at Elitestjerks. And often they change after Blizz decides to change the way a spell or ability works a few weeks after a patch. If these mage guides don't appeal to you, please; go find your mascara, put on some music that only you "get", and go cry in a corner. As far as Tyler goes- I expect a certain amount of mage bashing when another writer does this piece, but you are no where near as funny as Archmage Pants.
