Trefpoid asked:
Has anybody else noticed that female Naga have been given shirts all of a sudden? Why has this happened? Did someone find that female naga where to provocative going around topless or is Blizzard trying out something else? a friend suggested maybe they are trying to see how they look with armour, maybe as a future playable race, but Blizzard has already stated that playable races need to have legs.. so what has happened here? It's really weird to see all these nagas with chinese styled clothings all of a sudden and with no explanation.
It does seem to be an intended change, though bear in mind that naga have been able to wear armor since The Burning Crusade. It could be that there's something being planned for the naga, or at least there's been a movement to humanize them (or elfize them, as it were). As of right now, though, if you want playable naga, the closest you'll probably get is the WoW TCG's upcoming Throne of the Tides expansion.

A while back it was mentioned on the Queue that Joystiq is working on overhauling the comment system and that would in turn affect WoW Insider. Have there been any updates on this front?
We're due for a site overhaul similar to the ones that Joystiq and Massively got, but we don't currently have an ETA. You're welcome to comment on some Joystiq posts to see how you like it.
Mateo asked:
Why don't quest kills count if said kill is caused by a defensive buff/pet/etc.? For instance, when I'm doing low level quests on my hunter and my pet kills the target before I can get a shot off, that kill doesn't count. Or when I'm on my shaman and a mob attacks me while I have lightning shield up, that won't count toward my quest objective. I'm pretty sure my wolf and lightning shield wouldn't mind letting me have the kill in these situations.
You didn't need to take any action for the kill to occur, so you don't get credit for it.
alzeer asked:
now that azeroth is revamped and we got zones that we couldn't access prior to cataclysm , other than emerald dream, are there any areas that we cant reach left on azeroth?
At this point, nearly all of the inaccessible or areas not yet on the map that are left in Azeroth are islands, such as Kul Tiras, Hiji, Zul'Dare, and Crestfall. There aren't any huge land masses left that we're aware of, and they certainly didn't appear on the maps of Azeroth in Ulduar -- but hey, it's not like Blizzard can't just do a "titan cloaking device!" retcon or something, like it did with Uldum.

That's really comparing apples and oranges here. The Americas existed prior to their discovery. Any new Azeroth continent doesn't exist until Blizz makes it (Northrend, Kalimdor).
So I'd say a new continent would have to be a retcon of existing information. We have that pesky titan globe to deal with which shows no other land masses.
Daedalus Jul 25th 2011 8:24AM
The maps in Ulduar not showing anything don't necessarily mean much for the existence of other continents; Blizzard could always say that the Titans constructed them such that they'd show only what the viewer already knew, or that they weren't meant to be complete and only show those areas that Ulduar was originally meant to be involved with, etc. (After all, it's already kind of an interesting question why the maps show what they do; the Titans created them before the sundering, so logically, they should just show one huge continent instead of three and the maelstrom, right?) Or Blizzard could just be honest and say they didn't want give away too much too soon, especially when future plans might change.
In fact, I've always thought that the geography pretty much requires there to be more to Azeroth out there. You go from arctic climates in Northrend, south through temperate areas in the north of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, to tropical and equatorial areas down near Stranglethorn, Tanaris, Uldum, etc, and then what? If Azeroth is a globe, and the southern tips of Kalimdor and E.K. are meant to be near the south pole, they should be cold; having similar climates to Northrend.
Then you've got the fact that no one seems to have been able to sail west from Kalimdor or East from E.K. and come out on the other side.
Personally, I won't be surprised if it turns out that the three continents we know are only the northern half of one hemisphere of the world.

@Arrohon
Actually, Leif Ericson discovered North America about 500 years before Chistopher Columbus ever landed in the Bahamas. Ericson landed in areas that are thought to have been Baffin Island, Labrador, and Newfoundland. He lost credit for it because he COMPLETELY forgot to inform the Spanish Conquistadors. Tsk tsk.
But yes - Christopher Columbus discovering the American landmass is a real life retcon.

@ alzeer's question: There is a place on the world map which still can't be accessed and that's the mysterious zone previously known as Northeron.
Knob Jul 24th 2011 12:15PM
In the recent CDev, it was revealed that Northeron was actually a part of the Twilight Highlands.
WrecklessMEDIC Jul 24th 2011 12:45PM
What's up with the zone just north of Stratholme in E. Plaguelands. It's to the west of Ghostlands. Tried flying above Stratholme but get blocked. I know you can't fly into BC areas but this is clearly to the west. Any ideas what's up there?
Tsukuri Jul 24th 2011 2:34PM
I thought Northeron was the place WrecklessMEDIC just described, but that's where i meant and not the old bit where TH is now.
Xlo Jul 24th 2011 3:39PM
@Knob i think he means Northern Lordaeron, it is the land strip you can't fly to because of the invisible land north of the plaguelands and west of the blood elves.
Chevela Jul 24th 2011 4:21PM
@WrecklessMEDIC
I believe that was Quel'thalas, the High Elven lands (which Ghostlands and Eversong were a part of). Pre-Cata, they were nigh-impossible to get to, which was ok because, for the most part, it was nothing bul mountainous hills... save for one point off the northern coast of Eastern Kingdoms.
If you were to traverse around the perimeter of the continent (say, with water walking or path of ice, on the thin sliver of water next to the land that was not fatigue water) you would happen upon a small flat piece of land, with a couple trees, an elf tower, and I think a bench and such. This was the only actualy piece of land of Quel'thalas you could walk on and enjoy. It even had it's own General Chat.
It may still be there, I havn't tried getting to it since Cata launched.

Question for the Q:
So I did a little digging in regards to the question of anymore inaccessible zones left to discover. And alot of us mentioned the mysterious zone north of E. Plaguelands and west of Ghostlands. According to WoWWiki it is known as Northern Lordaeron or Northeron. But in the description it mentioned this part which I found interesting.
"This could be the land that Daval Prestor (a human disguise used by Deathwing) claimed to have originated from during the Second War as he was described as being from the north of Lordaeron."
Is it possible this is where Deathwing's secret lair could be? Could Blizzard be waiting to open it up for our final confrontation with him? I know we've all been wondering where he's been hiding when not burning up our lands with fire breath. :)
Calaana Jul 25th 2011 2:30AM
You mean the small zone dead north of stratholme? It's stratholme. The instance itself isn't on the map, but you're not zoning into something with no field presence, like a cave or the inside of a castle - you're entering a city, and the city needs to exist behind the portal. It's like ZG, ZA, or oculus, only bigger, and in an area where you can logically go around(coast line), where the others are blocked by mountains(with no endorsed method of access).
Case of Occam's Razor - the place where the city should be, is the city.
WrecklessMEDIC Jul 25th 2011 9:14AM
That was my first assumption as well. That it was just Stratholme and you couldn't fly over an instance. But you are allowed to fly over Zul'Farrak in Tanaris and most other outdoor dungeons that I've noticed anyways. But why not this one? And the zone appears much larger than just the city of Stratholme. :)

Q for the Q
When will my daughter start sleeping through the night?
Jimson Jul 24th 2011 12:22PM
For my daughter, it took about 10 weeks for her to "Sleep through the night." By which I mean, sleeping for 5-6 hour stretches, rather than waking up every hour to eat.
My son is 5 weeks old... jury is out on him. He is another "every hour on the hour" baby.
Of course, all babies are different. Depending on how old yours is, you can try de-sensitizing them to noise, and that sometimes helps.
loop_not_defined Jul 24th 2011 1:07PM
*Know that we didn't start doing this until our daughter was approximately 2 years old. Much of her sleeplessness before then was due to acid reflux, not a behavioral problem. I do not recommend trying this with, say, a 10 month old.*
Ours didn't sleep through the night for a very long time. Got to the point where we just had to institute tough love.
First time she wants attention, go in and put her back to bed saying little more than "goodnight", but only for the first time.
After that, start a timer and don't go in until 2 minutes have passed, and simply put her back to bed - say *nothing*. Third time, wait for 3 minutes. Then 5 minutes. Then 7 minutes. Then 9 minutes. Stick with 9 minutes until she goes to sleep.
This took us precisely two nights of just diligently timing and going in wearing your Prison Face. It sucked because you were up for most of the night, but by the third night it's like she was a completely different child. For about a week we would still have to go in and put her back to bed, but it would only happen *once* each night. After that, she would only wake up in the middle of the night once every other week or so, usually a nightmare or something.
It's now to the point where she actually accommodates me with changing for bed time, instead of throwing a tremendous screaming fit. It's wonderful.
loop_not_defined Jul 24th 2011 1:10PM
For her earlier sleeping problems, we found out from her doctor that it was nothing more than acid reflux from breast feeding/eating in general. He prescribed us zantac (Ranitidine) and that mostly solved her sleeping problems during the crib years.
evets25 Jul 24th 2011 2:37PM
About 16 years, at which point you'll have the opposite problem: getting him/her OUT of bed on time. :P

Perhaps you will enjoy this link. You can check it out at 4 AM after your daughter has gone to sleep. knowing that at 4:30 she will be awake again.

...I now understand why the doctor told my mom not to get used to it when I started sleeping through the night at TEN DAYS OLD.
And yet, she did in fact get used to it. =)
Xantenise Jul 24th 2011 5:37PM
I remember being four years old and my brother was two, and he still did not sleep through the night. More than once I woke up to my angry mother stomping around because my brother had woken her up. Hope your kid isn't as bad as my bro!
