If your laptop and desktop are both using the same router, then to Blizzard, the IP address will be the same. This is assuming that they key off of the IP address and not the MAC address.
To the outside world, the IP of your router IS the IP of your laptop AND desktop. The data is set to the router, then the router determines which connected device on your network requested the data, and sends it to that device.
Now if they key off of the MAC address, then my statement doesn't hold water.
