It's not Blizzard, not the gaming industry, it's the whole software industry. As was said perhaps 30 years ago..."If builders built buildings the way programmers built software, the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilization."A major reason the computers on the space shuttle are so antiquated (using ~60's hardware) is that every line of code had to be vetted multiple times. And it required a lot of code. A "Blue Screen of Death" type error could well be literal if it happened in the wrong place, at the wrong time.Computer games are not even in the same ballpark on "needs to be reliable". But on that score, Blizzard scores very well indeed despite appearances. You don't get "your computer reboots if you do (x)" sort of errors. There aren't a lot of truly grievous "OMG this is SO broken" bugs. Yes you do get the occasional reversion error, but not all that many. In most cases, there are workarounds available.Something like the Oculus "can't remount" bug is about as bad as you generally see.There are the occasional "unexpected interactions" bugs, like "Corrupted Blood stays on pets when they are dismissed", or "a passenger-carrying mount counts as a vehicle for falling", or even "Crocks in the City makes it easy to get Old Crafty".Things could be SO much worse...
