I think the big thing for a bear is that they do more dps than other tanks. I don't know how big the spread is post nerf, but I definitely remember it pre 4.2. Given that they were doing what 4-healers to be able to handle the enrage timer, they would certainly take whatever tank added the most dps to the mix.

Sejta (the paragon bear tank) has been their main tank since WotLK days, and was the main tank on every single major kill for the last 2 years.

Actually, they did it with 3 healers. Paladin, holy priest and druid.
