The Queue: The one with a pun

Get excited, people.
Vector asked:
Is anybody else super bummed that the new Guild episode released today is only available on XBL? I mean, I can watch it when I get home from work, but what percentage of the MMO community is missing out because of this?
It's only a short delay. I believe the episode will be available for all audiences on Thursday (that's tomorrow.) Considering Microsoft sponsors the show and it's the company that allows it to happen, I think it's reasonable for Microsoft to get a little exclusivity out of the deal. In other words, without Microsoft and XBL, we'd all be unGuilded.
walkerspace asked:
Am I a bad person for killing Karkin?
Yes. Absolutely. You probably shouldn't do that!
styopa asked:
Has there been ANY whisper of response from Blizzard on the idea of reputation shared across toons on the same side on the same server? (Or at least make the reputation rewards/purchaseable gear BoA?) They've done a good job of removing 'silly grindy bits' for everything except reputation.
I don't think the developers have ever said anything about this. I'm all for reducing grinds, but there comes a point where you're just asking for characters after your first to be automated. Should everything transfer from one character to the next? Probably not. Where do you draw the line? Reputation? Levels? Gear?
I don't think Blizzard would transfer rep across characters, but it might. Who knows?
chriskinzey asked:
I got killed by Deathwing in Arathi Highlighands the other day. Does Deathwing torch the major cities (Stormwind, Orgrimmar, etc.) like he does the other areas?
No.
juxul asked:
At what time does auctioneer Hesse in the Dwarven District of Storwind change into his worgen form?
Auctioneer Hesse's transformation is timed to exactly match Azeroth's day/night cycle. He transforms into a worgen at 9:00 p.m. server time and reverts into human form at 5:30 a.m.

Wait...what?! Do any other worgen transform at specific times, or is it just this dude? Because I've completely missed it if so. D:
Gossamer Jul 27th 2011 11:08AM
The Druid trainer in SW also changes.
Amaxe Jul 27th 2011 11:54AM
I've never seen the worgen auctioneer or the worgen druid trainer as anything but worgen, regardless of time of day.
bldavis59 Jul 27th 2011 12:35PM
@armaxe
same here....the druid trainer and the auctuioneer are always in worgen form for me
awall Jul 28th 2011 12:35AM
I don't know if it's changed (based on this question/answer, it probably hasn't), but certain pre-Cataclysm Worgen mobs would be in human form during the game's day period and in Worgen form during the night. The one group that I know did it lived in a village south of Shadowfang Keep. (The Sons of Arugal might be an exception. I didn't spend a lot of time in that zone.)

Question for the queue,
Has anyone really speculated what will come in patch 4.3? Do you think blizzard will continue to release new heroics every other patch?
xvkarbear Jul 27th 2011 11:45AM
I sure hope they do. While I don't absolutely hate them yet, I am a little tired of the troll heroics.
The Dewd Jul 27th 2011 12:03PM
They seem to like that alternating cycle of raids->heroics->raids->heroics. It's a good fit and means that raiders don't have to do 5-mans to see the new content when it's "fresh".
Puntable Jul 27th 2011 12:45PM
I don't know if they can sustain a schedule like that. It would work if the patches came twice as fast, but they don't. For them to give us 4 tiers of raid content in Cata, we would go to patch 4.8. Do you want to wait 3 or 4 years between expansions? Would you rather have 3 tiers of raids in each expansion instead of 4?
Straz Jul 27th 2011 12:46PM
The troll heroics and Firelands were supposed to release together. I wouldn't be surprised to see new heroics and a raid in 4.3.
Keeping my fingers crossed for Caverns of Times raid and heroics.
Fletcher Jul 27th 2011 4:49PM
My money is on Azshara raid, War of the Ancients raid (they're thematically consistent!) plus at least three dungeons - another Abyssal Maw one and a pair of CoT ones. Maybe an Earthen Ring quest hub in the Abyssal Maw or something. But Cataclysm being what it is, we'll probably get another ToC.
Fastust-ysera Jul 27th 2011 5:23PM
We already know they took a raid and 1 or 2 dungeons out if 4.2 they took a new vashir dungeon and a new battle of the ancients (the old lv 70 raid) they took it out of 4.2 so my guess is its comin out in 4.3
Ice Jul 27th 2011 6:43PM
Everyone is always jumping on heroics and raid.
Well I'm going to be "rebel" and go with battleground and arena.
Thats right. PvP patch. Shock horror!
-Gives us time to do T12 and not "grind new heroics"
-No need to invent new tier of gear (Raid max: 391 non-raid max: 364 (or bought boe at 371))
-And maybe just maybe BG thats DESINGED PROPERLY FOR RATEDS in mind this time (heres looking at you, gilneas and your 2 flag cap = pretty much lost).
-New arena.
-UI improvements.. maybe even for pvp who knows?
-Maybe even.. new pvp mode?
Oh and I dont like pvp that much but when they released IoC I fell in love with it, it was like playing battlefield in wow. I like twin peaks more than warsong nowdays, feels quake-like.
Now give us BG that has oh I dont know, TF2's payload? Would be awesome to see how that would work out in wow with wow-style.

Whatever they do for 4.3 it better be huge to compete with SWTOR in November.

Question:
Do you see yourselves at WoW Insider as journalists?
There's certainly a lot of opinion on these pages, but you do report news.
On the other hand, "serious" journalists should never pull stunts like the mildly amusing "leak" by Michael Sacco.
Kakume Jul 27th 2011 11:18AM
Certainly not, a serious, reputable journalist would never pull a stunt like...

(cutaia) Jul 27th 2011 11:19AM
What are you talking about...serious journalists report fake news all the time. Don't you watch Fox?
fudge Jul 27th 2011 11:19AM
That was on April 1st.
fudge Jul 27th 2011 11:21AM
I don't think anyone should aspire to Fox or NOTW as a journalistic standard.
Fox Van Allen Jul 27th 2011 11:26AM
We're not journalists, we're bloggers -- the video game equivalent of Redstate or DailyKos. It's news, but with opinion and analysis in there, too.
