Reading about RSC made me think about how many feasts Paragon must've used for Rag alone. That's just crazy...

Not just feasts but flasks and, especially pots. You know for the World First they're going to pre-pot on every pull, etc. I wonder if they just have a guildbank full of that stuff or if they have new recruits farming or if they just buy it all at this point.

Big guilds like Paragon have finance officers whose job is to keep the GBank stuffed to the brim with all the necessary raid consumables and hundreds of thousands of gold for repairs. But yeah, I bet most of us would go pale on totaling all the pots, flasks, feasts and repairs they rack up while wiping for days on end like they do during progression.

Having never been in an elite-level raid, I can't say this for sure, but I highly doubt they used a feast and a flask and a pre-pot on EVERY pull. The reason for this is that on a first pull, or first few pulls, you don't know what the mechanics are yet, meaning it would just be a waste. I could see them even possibly doing something like giving everyone +endurance flasks for quite a few pulls, or at least for the first 1-2 hours as they figure out the mechanics (survivability over dps in that case). That being said, it probably wouldn't take them that many pulls to figure out all the mechanics. Even if they used 50 pulls, that would leave at least 350 pulls for all those consumables - that's 700 dps potions, 350 feasts, probably somewhere around 50 flasks/cauldrons. Quite a lot, in other words. But hey, that's why they are #1 in the world, because they make that effort. Which probably isn't that big of an effort - every big guild I've ever been in has had more gold than they know what to do with, so having a world class guild, I have to bet that they could easily spare 50k-100k gold on consumables without batting an eyelash, as they could make that back many times over selling BoE's or even runthroughs for achievements and mounts.

Revynn also made a good point about repairs. I'd be willing to bet repairs were an overall bigger expense than consumables. (But as I said above, they can easily make all of that gold back many times over.)
