Robinemia is weary of humans and their constant taunting of the Forsaken with their insistence on living. So she is staging a protest Saturday night.
-
When: Saturday, July 30 at 11 p.m. EDT (8 p.m. PDT, 9 p.m. server time)
-
Where: Deathknell (Forsaken starter town) on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H)
-
Who: Forsaken only, any level (I suppose death knights can come, too.)
-
What: March to Stormwind
-
How: Ask Robinemia or any It came from the Blog member for an invite, if you do not already belong to one of our guilds. If you are on a trial account, just tag along.
-
Motto: Protest the living!
This is not a PVP event, though our unlives may be in danger since we will be entering enemy territory. This is just a peaceful protest march to which all of the undead are invited to participate. If you do not have an active U.S. account; you can sign up for the trial and add to the body count. (You just won't be able to join a raid or talk in our in-game event chat.)
As usual, I will be streaming the event. Basic instructions will be given on our event chat channel, and more detailed instructions will be given on the stream.
Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) in It came from the Blog. Any member can invite, so /whisper Robinemia or any online member. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules -- basically, don't be a funsucker! Visit the guild FAQ for more details.

Will we be walking on foot or should we level up to get a mount?
Thayer Jul 28th 2011 7:21PM
ICFTB events are friendly to all levels, so we will definitely be marching on foot.
Robin Torres Jul 28th 2011 7:21PM
Foot!
Though you will die less if you level up a wee bit. We'll be walking through higher level territory. Our usual motto "Protect the Lowbies!" will still be in effect, however.
Protest the Living!

Forsaken character created and ready to march in protest! The time is pretty late for me, but on the bright side at least my kids will definitely be asleep.

The Spawn will be in bed, which I believe is best for a death march. Otherwise, she will be constantly making zombie jokes and biting my head, which is SO distracting.
Fletcher Jul 28th 2011 7:26PM
Ooh, I can bring my DK! I have some more pretty pretty clothes for her since the last event, it's fun to be able to bring out all my wardrobe.

This reminds me of the real life Zombie Walks that happen in Vancouver. I can only imagine that it'll be just as awesome!

Is this really a good idea after the Swifty scandal? I know you guys have been doing this for years now and haven't had any problems, But I'm just kind of worried now to get large groups of people together.
Robin Torres Jul 28th 2011 7:51PM
Many reasons why we will not be banned during the Night of the Forsaken:
1. We have events monthly. Never any problems.
2. We had this totally out of hand event a year ago http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/07/05/it-came-from-the-blog-server-maintenance-party-snapshots/ and we didn't bring down the zone, server, anything and no GMs ever talked to us about it. The chances of our death march being this popular is slim unless servers go down but ours doesn't.
3. We don't allow funsuckers to join us. If they do, we kick and ignore them. If they persist, we report them.
4. The Swifty problem was because people were spamming. Spamming is completely against our rules.
5. If somehow we get so many people that we are taxing a zone and a GM asks us to cease, we will.
6. There is no 6.

The problem with Swifty is that he encouraged people to make low level alts, go to Stormwind, and /yell "SWIFTY INVASION" ... and after this brought the server down he encouraged people to *do it to other servers*. Blizzard panicked, overreacted, and later rolled back. The only server we can *possibly* bring down is Zangarmarsh, and we're not exactly intending to do that. I don't think any WoW Insider event has actually crashed Zangarmarsh - not even the DK-riffic 2010 Midsummer Flame Festival one or the EPL PVP one (which certainly did bad things to my framerates!).

Number 6 convinced me *nods* haha
Kendall213 Jul 28th 2011 8:24PM
Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you guys have done or are going to do anything wrong. I just figured people would have decided against the in-game events for awhile.
Arrohon Jul 28th 2011 8:51PM
Gurgles has been created and will be joining you! Sadly his jaw won't be joining us but there will be a "nice" imp to compensate!
RetPallyJil Jul 28th 2011 11:36PM
Put 'em up! Put 'em up! I'll take you ALL on!!!! /looks fierce
Fletcher Jul 29th 2011 1:45AM
Nobody can triumph over death alone.
Not unless they have an ankh or a soulstone.
RetPallyJil Jul 29th 2011 11:22AM
To die fighting the abominations of the Scourge is reward enough for a paladin of a ... shall we say, reddish hue?
Robin Torres Jul 29th 2011 11:37AM
This is a peaceful protest. We will lie off your shores and listen to your rock and roll ... or something.
RetPallyJil Jul 29th 2011 3:28PM
Well ...
... darn :(
/RPJ's tattered Crusade banner droops dejectedly.
You never let me have any fun (sniffle)
noelwiz Jul 29th 2011 12:44AM
I'll come but I'll be a low level
Fletcher Jul 29th 2011 1:32AM
I suppose with a sufficiently large supply of Potions of Illusion and being able to chug one every two minutes, a hordie of any other flavour could also attend. :P
