The Queue: I have a WoW question for you, readers

I'm turning the tables on you today. Let me ask you a question:
Know any good (or semi-good) Australian-time raiding guilds?
I've come to a point that it's almost impossible for me to raid at night anymore (I think I signed the contract unknowingly when I proposed to the long-time girlfriend earlier this year), so a guild that raids down under would be perfect for me. I'll buy you a few beers at our meetup if you leave me a suggestion that ends up working. And that's LA-priced beers, too.
Jeremy asked:
Has anyone really speculated what will come in patch 4.3? Do you think blizzard will continue to release new heroics every other patch?
My understanding is it won't be long until we find out.
Henri asked:
If two players both select Need for an item (and they both actually need it) and the roll results in a tie, one player is chosen (randomly it seems) as the winner. What's the proper etiquette here? Is a reroll in order or is it just too bad for the player who missed out?
Don't worry, you've both already done the right thing.
If a loot roll results in a tie, there's another (albeit hidden) reroll to determine the winner.
Denjerre asked:
Does Deathwing attack level 1-20 zones?
There have been conflicting reports. At one point, Blizzard said that he won't be hitting the newbie zones, but we've heard from plenty of people who've had that happen to them.
My guess is that he does, and it's bug -- but not a big enough bug to do anything about.
ephunthepaladin asked:
I normally read the Queue and the other articles on my phone and the format recently changed from the mobile version to the version that you get when on a computer. My question is that is there any way to return it back to the mobile format?
You'll need to entirely clear your browser's cache (and possible cookies) on your phone. That'll return you to the mobile version you like.
Fudge asked:
Do you see yourselves at WoW Insider as journalists?
We're a WoW blog, which is a far cry from The New York Times. But there are points where we have strict journalistic standards. Leaks, controversial news, and some other stuff are very much treated as they'd be treated in any other newsroom. Our internal standards for those things are right around (and in some cases, greater) than those of traditional print media.

"My understanding is it won't be long until we find out."

They're waiting for a Star Wars launch date to try and submarine it.

@Angrycelt
First off, I love the name, celts ftmfw. My favorite people are Scottish and/or Irish. Also, if you pronounce it "selts" I'll effing stab you. :)
Secondly, That's what D3 is all about. From what I've heard, seen, and speculate myself, Diablo 3 SHOULD be hitting shelves almost exactly at the same time as SWTOR. With this year's Blizzcon murloc being Diablo themed (data mined on MMO some time back), the buzz on the D3 official boards AND the Blizzcon boards is that Beta will be very soon and also very short, and the buzz on the SWTOR boards about the "Beta Weekends" in September followed by the EGA for those folks that pre-ordered it. I'm putting the release dates of both games somewhere around Late October/Early November (like maybe October 25th through November 8th would be my 2 week window). That gives both games enough time to bang out their final Beta tests, SWTOR time for the EGA, and D3 to be announced at Blizzcon.
Let's not forget also that the second SC2 ex-pac is coming along soon too, I fully expect there to be announced at Blizzcon as well, likely with a Q2 2012 release date. Oh, and the next WoW expansion theoretically should be announced this year based on past announcements at Blizzcon. We can also hope for our first glimpse at the Titan Project MMO, perhaps just a name or movie, but I do expect something. This year's Blizzcon is going to be crazy exciting, which means I need to go get the live-stream again :p

liked the last answer :D

Likewise. But I was a little confused by it. Does that mean you guys have or have not hacked Ghostcrawlers voicemail?

I see what you did there =D

Q for the Q: With the advent of patch 4.2 all the VP gear got changed to JP gear, to make way for the new tier of gear. So why does all the tier 11 JP gear still cost the same amount as prior to the patch?
(cutaia) Jul 28th 2011 11:54AM
Because this is the way it's always been. Tier 7/8/9 items didn't suddenly cost any less when tier 10 came out. The only difference now is that it's more noticeable since all the levels of gear are on one vendor instead of being spread out amongst a Heroism, Valor, Conquest, Triumph and Frost vendor.
Finnicks Jul 28th 2011 2:26PM
Although if Blizzard had any sense, they would have put the 359 "previously Valor" gear FIRST on the vendor, and the original JP gear second.
I find it annoying that every time I want to make a JP purchase now I have to flip through 3-4 pages of 346 gear before I even get to the good stuff.
Mark Jul 28th 2011 2:40PM
The vendor is different depending on your class i believe, for some reason my 85 BE pally's old JP gear is first then the new JP gear is last like you said. But on my 85 Worgen Warrior the new one is in front and the old one is in back. just something i noticed.
WoWie Zowie Jul 28th 2011 2:41PM
that's odd finnicks because when I open up the JP vendor I see the 359 gear first, and pages later the old 346 stuff. hmmm
LynMars Jul 28th 2011 2:57PM
The epic, previously-Valor 359 gear is always first on all 3 of my characters (a priest, a paladin, and a mage) on the JP vendor.
zubbiefish Jul 28th 2011 3:46PM
I noticed that the old VP gear is listed first on my Alliance Mage, but second on all of my Horde characters.
I expect that means that it's listed first for Alliance, and second for Horde thus proving once and for all which faction Blizzard likes best. (runs and hides)
Randomize Jul 28th 2011 3:56PM
If I were to take a stab at it, it looks like the Horde vendor has all the 346s first while the Alliance vendor has all the 359s first. Quite the annoyance for us Horde players. QQ
Gryph Jul 28th 2011 6:33PM
Having 359-level gear last for Horde shows one thing only:
We don't need silly gear to be best! ;)
William.McMurtry Jul 28th 2011 11:08AM
I don't think the next patch will be exclusively new heroics. Bliss already covered the mid ilvl gear with the molten front daily rewards. Boubouille from mmo champion said next patch will be deathwing raid plus CoT 5 man.
loop_not_defined Jul 28th 2011 11:40AM
When did Boub say that?
alzeer Jul 28th 2011 11:43AM
don't think we are prepared for deathwing
wotlk had 4 armor tiers
and although BC had only 3, the SWP was more like tier 3.5
in cata we got only 2 atm
hoping for 2 major raids and small one similar to RS in wotlk
llcjay2003 Jul 28th 2011 11:49AM
On his Twitter account. It does not appear that he is saying that the final raid will be 4.3 and that Deathwing will die, though. It might be a thing where we see him and possibly fight him but not kill him. It could be a prelude to the final conflict. I'm just throwing stuff out there but I would not be surprised if this happened. However, I would be surprised if we kill him in the next patch and I don't see that happening.
