Phat Loot Phriday: Mandible of Beth'tilac

Throgg turned the Mandible of Beth'tilac over in his hands. "It's a jawbone! You brought me a flaming jawbone. That is very kind welcome home gift," the orc said thoughtfully. "What it do?"
"The fire is the enchantment, admittedly. It's mostly just a mandible with duct tape." Lolegolas sat on a chair, carefully sitting on his hands to cover the shakes. The trembling was getting bad, but he didn't want the recovering orc to see. "It's for tanking, I'm pretty sure. It's angled well to help you dodge blows and such."
"And it flames! I can yell 'Flame on!' instead of 'Throgg smash!' It will be fun. When are we going to the flaming lands?"
"Firelands," Lolegolas said. "Maybe next week, after we get a little more rest. The worgen's out fishing up some food now, and we can probably find an expedition easily."
"Flame on!" Throgg said, wielding the mandible. "The flaming duo returns!"

....Couple even more likely to be found necking in the bushes outside the Sulfuron Spire than Anren and Tholo, y/y?

I think that all depends on where Asric and Jadaar are.

Too bad that we can't actually GIVE these weapons to friends. Or lovers. Either way.

Anyone else notice the rather blatant CJS written on the blade? I'm a little annoyed that a developer thought that was a good idea...
Shinae Jul 29th 2011 10:04AM
What does CJS supposed to stand for?
Udderpowered Jul 29th 2011 10:16AM
I assumed they were runes.

I'd like you to look at a few of these inkblots, and tell me what you see...
kerese Jul 29th 2011 12:08PM
you guys really don't see CJS there? I noticed it as soon as the model was introduced on mmo-champ. Maybe im crazy and they are the runes from MC or something, but to me it looked very much like some designers initials...
Philster043 Jul 29th 2011 12:22PM
I saw it as well.

I only noticed after you pointed it out. But I actually think it's kinda cool if one of the art team members put their initials there. Kind of makes me want to look for more instances of that.
Agony Jul 29th 2011 4:55PM
No, no, no...it's not CJS.
If you turn the picture upside down and look at it in a mirror, it's CLEARLY GJ2, which obviously means that this means the sword produces 2 giga-joules. And that's not duct tape, they're grounding strips so you don't electrocute yourself by holding onto the thing.

Ha ha, Mr. Gray, loved reading this! ....oh yeah, the blade is fine, too! from Lilliah of Cairne
