The Guild Season 5 now available for everyone
Episode 1, Road Trip, has our online heroes traveling to the Megagame-o-Ramacon, the aptly named convention of all things gaming. The Knights of Good will have their work cut out for them, as the fruits of road trips -- and the actual destination -- never come easily.
Felicia Day, the show's creator, and the rest of The Guild were at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, where fans saw a preview of this episode.
If you've missed a handful of episodes, catch up over on MSN Video or watch them all on Hulu. You can also catch up over on the Xbox Live Zune marketplace, too.

Am I the only one that thinks this show is horrible?
PictoKong Jul 29th 2011 3:00PM
Then don't watch it
Hollow Leviathan Jul 29th 2011 4:40PM
Actually this show has a PHD in horribleness. That's the new catchphrase.
Chokaa Jul 30th 2011 7:20AM
@Hollow
I saw what you did there! Love the reference to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, even if no one else did
Vlad Jul 29th 2011 3:03PM
No you're not :)
Tim Jul 29th 2011 3:44PM
I like it.

I never expect the first episode to knock me over. I`m looking forward to the season and expect it to be as much fun as in the past. Yes, I love the show. :)

The thing I hate about these online "shows" is that they all attempt to play themselves off as legit programming. You can't have a season 5 of anything if you have only enough content for two. Stop using things like "season" as if you were a networks fall lineup.

"Arc 5" would sound like a boat. I think Season is fine.

The length of a TV series is utterly arbitrary, from the number of installments to the length of each episode to the time over which the series is broadcast; only precedents apply, most of which are more benchmarks than actual rules.
If you're really going to stand sentry against the use of such sovereign TV concepts as a "season", you're probably not a very interesting person to speak with at parties.

The Guild has never been my cup of tea, but I'm happy to see Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton in Eureka this season. :)

Why do people click on The Guild if they don't like it. Great show-glad to see them returning.

I'm so sad I'm going to miss the intellectual gatherings with some of the most elite in society as I had my Monopoly monocle and martini glass ready.
Seriously, the use of the word is a little abused in this situation.
Well I'll talk to you on my next DVD, in the special features "comments" selection.
Al Jul 30th 2011 3:26AM
BBC "seasons" are sometimes just 6 episodes, it's all about being that year's of shows and their inter-connectivity.
Wulfkin Jul 30th 2011 9:35AM
Whilst I won't claim The Guild is the funniest show ever, it does at least have a cute kind of appeal for me, along with the fact its the only show about online gaming ever made that comes from the view of the players. Not to mention there have been a decent number of times when it has made me laugh hysterically.

I'm the biggest fan of BBC programming, Spaced, Black Books, IT Crowd, Big Train, Mighty Booosh, Hyper-drive...etc. Most of my Television DVD is all British.I have to have a region free player because of it as some take too long for the states to release.
But calling 6 minutes an episode is just a little disappointing. Adult Swim does it at 12 or so and that drives me crazy also.
Al Jul 30th 2011 4:57PM
You should point out that Guilds have more than 6 people too.
ladyaxolotl Jul 30th 2011 7:35PM
Most of those shows were aired on Channel 4 not the BBC.
