What he is referring to is an option that X-Perl had to show you how many players were currently targeting your target. Example: I am tanking a trash pack with another tank, and I see that 7 people are targeting my target. This would indicate that the OT and both healers are targeting something else (10 man), which is exactly what you want to see. Conversely, if I was the MT and saw only 3 people attacking my target that would be a time to remind the group to focus on the correct target.
