Deepholm also has some of the coolest background music in the game.

It's the ambient noise that gets me. Specifically the noise that sounds like steel I-beams buckling. *shiver*

It reminds me of those monks who hit those really deep bass notes and who are singing in two tones at the same time (I believe they are Tibetan monks). It heightens the otherworldly feel of Deepholm (which, depending on your taste is either a good or bad thing, lol).
