At first I was skeptical about the idea of a Pandaria being the focus of an expansion. However, this artical has caused a complete 180 in my opinion!Cataclysm always fealt like the set up for something big to me. We know Deathwing is powerful, but he is mearly a servant of the Old Gods. I believe Metzen said at one point that N'Zoth (the Old Gods pulling ole' DW's strings) is a huge problem being saved for the next expansion. Seeing as how The Shattering appears to be the Old God's big master plan for finally taking over Azeroth, I highly doubt we will just be giving them another temporary setback. The story seems to be slowly building up to a final showdown with them that will happen sooner than later. The Burning Legion on the other hand, has done very little since the Battle of the Undercity. While that does make one wonder what they are up to, they have not shown to be an immediate threat to Azeroth. After all, we've beaten back one of their most powerful lords, so I'd imagine they would be hard pressed to up the challenge.
