Breakfast Topic: How do you deal with self-entitled puggers?

I pull hard and fast, so I don't want to hear about your drinking problems. Just keep up.
No, we're not doing that boss.
If you go in there, I'm not healing you.
Dude, I'm pulling more DPS than the other two put together, and I'm going for the achievement whether you like it or not.
Do any of those sound familiar? It's that one player in the PUG who thinks he's the star of the show and that everyone else is there to bow down to his demands. More often than not, this ends up being a tank, although anyone who thinks the group can't get along without them is prone to this sort of behavior. The tank thinks that DPS won't dare to kick him because of their long queue times (while they get instant queues). The healer refuses to heal anyone that he personally doesn't seem to like. DPSers can fall into this behavior as well, but this doesn't seem to be nearly as commonplace.
The same thing crops up when you down a boss, and suddenly someone just drops group. They didn't get their drop; therefore, they just leave the rest of you hanging. Has this happened to you? If not, consider yourself lucky (and brace for when it does). Or perhaps you've done it to groups you've been in; if so, remember, this is a group game, and those are four other people want their stuff just as much as you want yours. Be considerate. No single member of a PUG is irreplaceable, and the vote kick button is there for a reason.
How do you generally deal with self-entitled puggers?

I have to admit dungeons are very intimidating. I'm new to wow, leveling my first toon as a healer. As I'm new to everything, I make sure to say that at the very beginning of every group. I've had groups that were super helpful, some that were silent and others that were rude.
My worst experiences have happened after a wipe. Not because people died but because I couldn't find the entrance to the instance from the graveyard and get back quickly enough to rez them. I'm sure most people don't think about this because they have been playing forever and most of the geography comes second nature. However, some instances are practically mazes when it comes to finding the entrance. It doesn't make it any easier when you have the group hounding you to hurry up but not a single person is willing to give directions when asked.
Because I'm new I am willing to put up with a lot. I figure every situation will teach me something and make me better. Tanks not waiting for me to drink, DPS pulling, even people giving me pointers in rude/sarcastic ways. I'll take it all. But I can't stand people that are rude but have nothing helpful to say.

So back in Wrath, before Cata came out, when everyone was on the highest tier and really OP in instances, I was doing a heroic on my priest as DPS. It was Utgarde Keep.
I don't remember what happened. The tank was an ass or something, we kicked him before the healer that grouped with him could disagree, healer threw a hissy fit. We tried to requeue. Healer wouldn't let us. We couldn't vote kick the shaman healer so soon after the tank was gone, or something, I don't remember what (I only remember trying to kick her and being unable). She was rude and being an enormous prick, and every time we tried to requeue she refused to let us. She also refused to drop group. So she changed spec and started... clearing the instance.
I don't think she MEANT to do that. I think she just meant to be an asshole puller and wipe us, but what she ended up doing was wiping the floor with the trash. The rest of us lolled our heads off and just let her do the work, and we agreed through whispers we'd kick her before the last boss if we got the opportunity. About three quarters of the way through (seriously, she did the bosses as well, I'm pretty sure at least one DPS helped with those) she caught sight of us sunbathing and sipping pina coladas and dropped group, allowing us to get a new tank and healer and finish the instance without any drama.
We agreed we were pricks in letting her do all the hard work, but damn, was it hilarious.

A couple of weeks ago, and before my dps spec was very well-geared, I was in a random heroic Lost City of the Tol'vir. The run was going great for the first two bosses, although the tank was pulling a little fast and the healer was obviously not used to it. Eventually, the healer asked for a second to drink and regen mana, and the tank, without saying a word, ignored him and continued, very nearly dying. I asked him to listen to the healer and to slow down, but he ignored my request and kept going. He and the hunter, from his guild, then started ganging up on the healer, and when I accused him of abusing the healer and being a jerk, he and the hunter turned on me. Now, my dps spec was not as geared as it is now, and so I had a few pieces of low item level armor, and they immediately made fun of this. I defended myself, and we started arguing. Eventually it came up that the tank and hunter had defeated Ragnaros, and as such, he should know better and was a good tank. I disagreed with him, and said that while he had defeated Ragnaros, he was not being a good tank, ignoring the healer's requests and abusing the healer. We finished the rest of the dungeon in silence, and after the hunter and tank had left, I apologized to the healer for all that had happened, and promptly put the tank and hunter on my ignore list. I usually tank, so I've never really understood the whole idea of self-entitled tanks, as I always feel bad whenever I ask another player to do something. Anyways, I'd like to apologize to all the healers that have to deal with jerks like this, and tell them that there are some tanks that will respect you. :)

Reading through this, it sounds a lot more disorganized than it did in my head...

I remind them, once they've proven themselves intolerable, that no one is mightier than the majority of party members being more than happy to press yes to a vote kick.
Especially with the "Deal with it" tanks that threaten queue times. Guess what? A dungeon in progress is top of the queue ladder, and I'd much rather take my chances with the next tank, no matter the gear or experience, in hopes that he or she knows how Not To Be A Douche.
I actually find that, as of late, it's healers that display this behavior more often than other roles. Some tanks are just douches, and some have been beaten into bad behavior by douchey non-tanks, but most remember how tough the path was and typically have suffered the consequences of poor gameplay--from rushing headlong into a non-CC'd full elite pack of mobs or not paying attention to where the healer is and whether or not he or she has sufficient mana. I'm not sure why, but I've experienced a large number of healers just dropping group at odd intervals without a word or telling everyone else in a not-so-kind manner how we ought to do our jobs (because we're allegedly presently not).
