The Queue: 5,000 feet

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky, your friendly pilot, will be your host today.
Assuming everything goes as planned, when this Queue goes live, I'll be just touching down after looking at this view -- 5,000 feet above sea level in the northern part of the United States, snuggled up in a Cessna 172S learning how to fly.
Let me tell you, the Cessna goes a helluva lot faster than my drakes.
Professor Orc asked:
I remember a quest chain in the Twilight Highlands where the Red dragonflight called a hunt on the black dragonflight to completely exterminate them. During the quest chain you kill what is described as one of the last egg-laying females.
Because of this, is it lore now that the Black Dragonflight is considered destroyed, with the exception of deathwing?
I remember this too, and as others in the comments pointed out, it was one of the last -- not really the last -- black dragon. I don't think there's much evidence Blizzard is killing off the entire dragonflight, let alone ending a major story arc. Yet.
Will Blizzard do it in the future? Who knows? Well, actually, Metzen knows ... but he's not telling us.
Jinx asked:
Is there a place where we can recommend a piece of WoW related work?
Submit it to our tip line! That puts it in front of all the eyes of our staff, including our senior editors (like myself), who set the day's news and topics. We love tips!
Samboy asked:
Do any of the Wow Insider staff play the WoW TCG?
Many of us know how to play it and do so when we can (or when the opportunity presents itself). Some of us play it regularly, too. Cryptozoic, the folks who are leading the TCG now, are pretty cool peeps. They helped make our reader meetup at BlizzCon last year really awesome.
Thon asked:
So what are Wyrms? Senior citizen dragons?
Wyrms are fully grown, adult dragons. They also can be drunk from the tequila bottle (although I'm a whiskey man, myself).
Thatticus asked:
Why is it assumed that the next expansion (whatever it shall be) has to include either a "Hero" class or new races? Hasn't Blizzard already stated that they didn't want to make another "Hero" class since DKs were a headache to work around
There's no evidence that the next expansion will include a new hero class. Absolutely none. People are just assuming because they like to play the guessing game.
We'll probably be talking more about this guessing game in the days head. It's getting a little nuts.
Everclear asked:
Why doesn't Vanessa Van Cleef just kill us while we're having a nightmare right in front of her? We're helpless and asleep for five minutes. Is there a reason why she chooses to narrate a story and wait till we snap out of it to kill her?
She wants to tell us what big dicks we are, how much she hates us, and why she hates us. No bad guy ever just kills the heroes and walks away. That's a boring movie, and it'd make a boring video game, too.
That, or she just likes the way I look sleeping. Which is pretty strange, come to think of it. Vanessa, you pervert.

Are there any hints as to who the Twilight Prophet is? He's mentioned in the Elemental Bonds quest chain as the person who ordered Staghelm and his li'l pals to attack Thrall, so he's got to be pretty high up in the Hammer. Even so, it seems like he (or she!) kind of came out of left field.
Nina Katarina Aug 9th 2011 11:10AM
It's a pretty safe bet that the Twilight Prophet will be a raid boss, probably in the Deathwing raid.

My votes:
An old god reanimated cho'gall
Sylvanas (after being thoroughly corrupted by the old god under Lordareon)
An underling of sargeras.
A sandwich Brann Bronzebeard forgot to eat.

SPOILERS AHEAD!
His name is stated in the latest book.

I suspect it will be a well known figure. There is a an exchange between Millhouse Manastorm and High Priestess Azil in the quest: Quickersilver Submersion that hints at it.
High Priestess Azil says: Forgemaster! I've been told the enemy has disrupted your operations. Where is the fragment?
Millhouse Manastorm says: The fragment is now in the dragon's custody, ma'am.
High Priestess Azil says: Well done. Meet me inside the Stonecore for further instructions.
Millhouse Manastorm says: Of course, ma'am. At once!
Millhouse Manastorm says: If you don't mind me asking, How did we manage to recover the fragment? How did we infiltrate our enemies' forces without their knowledge?
High Priestess Azil says: Let's just say we have friends in high places, forgemaster.
Now, I will concede no mention was made of a Twilight Prophet was made by either NPC. However, the mention of "friends in high places" and a leader of unknown identity directing the actions of the key players in Twilight Hammer suggests that someone we all know is actually this Twilight Prophet.

Sounds like you haven't read the thrall book. Its in the last handful of pages.
BTW, when is it safe to discuss the book? There are things in there I would like discussed, but so many people are slow to read the books.
Arrohon Aug 9th 2011 11:28AM
He's currently in-game as a friendly NPC and I believe he has been since Vanilla. Take that back. He's friendly to about half the player-base,
Oreet Aug 9th 2011 11:29AM
@AudreyR
He is called the Twilight Father in the book. Do we know for a fact that the Twilight Father and Twilight Prophet are the same person?
loop_not_defined Aug 9th 2011 11:28AM
Yeah, the Twilight Father's identity isn't really a secret anymore. In fact, you can't even Google "Twilight Father" and Wowpedia without the first result spoiling it for you.
Ilmyrn Aug 9th 2011 11:29AM
Maybe I've just got a soft spot for Millhouse after rescuing him in Arc way back when, but did anyone else think his dialogue in Deepholm sounded like an moronic undercover guy trying to find out information? My first time doing that quest I was sure we'd find out he was really working for the good guys, sabotaging the Hammer from within.
Snowfeather Aug 9th 2011 11:42AM
I'd giggle if they just decide to bring the original Twilight Prophet back from Silithis.
durandal Aug 9th 2011 11:43AM
The Twilight Leader is probably Jaina who disapproves of Thrall dating Aggra.
Shade Aug 9th 2011 11:46AM
PSEUDO-SPOILER ALERT
Remember those old datamined sound files showing an Alliance and Horde figure each being discovered as members of Twilight's Hammer? One of them was outed in the book as the Twilight Father. I think the other one could be the Twilight Prophet.
Jonisjalopy Aug 9th 2011 11:48AM
POSSIBLE SPOILERS INCOMING!!!!!!!
So the NPC named as the new "Twilight Father" is nothing new. In the Cata beta, "The-NPC-that-shall-not-be-named" was part of the Twilight Highlands starter instead of the person we talk to now that's in that one room with that one guy. There's already sound files of "The-NPC-that-shall-not-be-named" getting found out and kicked out of that one City.
Is that vague enough? :D
linkers746 Aug 9th 2011 12:16PM
Through careful deduction, and not reading the newest book, I have determined who the Twilight Prophet is.
-FAKE SPOILER-
NAT PAGLE!
It just makes so much sense! He's lulled us into a false sense of security, leading the heroes of Azeroth on to believe he was just a simple fisherman. In reality, he's been hoarding up all the magical fish in the world, ready to unleash all their power at once, to free his dark, sushi-loving overlords, the Old Gods!!!!
-End fake spoiler-
loop_not_defined Aug 9th 2011 12:26PM
Dammit, just realized I confused the Twilight Prophet with the Twilight Father.
It's possible they're one-in-the-same, but I'd bet they're two separate entities.
restodr00d Aug 9th 2011 2:27PM
@That one Joey
I don't know why you want to kill Sylvanas and make it dissapear from the game, yeah she is going crazy with all that LK type of deal but she will never be killed at all!.... Well if they kill Varian or Greymane I'm ok with it
jfofla Aug 9th 2011 3:06PM
But I thought The Twilight Father was Bella's Dad
Tri Aug 9th 2011 3:36PM
Let's just hope we get to kill that bastard soon :O And not only, as it is now, for one half of the player base :)
shaydwyrm Aug 10th 2011 1:14AM
@Ylspeth
I have always assumed that the reference to "friends in high places" in the exchange between Millhouse Manastorm and High Priestess Azil was referring to Ozruk's defection from the forces of Therazane.
