The above picture titled "Glimpses" was just posted on Blizzard's Facebook page. It shows ethereals hanging out, offering arcane reforging, transmogrification, and "void storage," whatever that is.
We don't know where this is from, and the picture is presented by Blizzard with the comment, "Interesting." So we know it's a glimpse at something coming up. What could that be? It's possibly related to patch 4.3 or the next expansion. And on that note, it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibilities for Blizzard to start dropping hints for the next expansion now.
Our staff picked up that it's a generic Stormwind building right away. In fact, the NPC and layout looks very similar to Cordell's Enchanting in the Mages District in Stormwind; that's pictured below. Obviously, the doodads and room decorations are different, but the layout and NPC spacing are the same.

Transmogrify is an English word that means "change appearance".

It's gonna be the appearance tab, I know it.
The Transmogrifier will change the look of gear, calling it right now.

In my opinion The transmogrifer is probably just the way to change the warlock pets gender they did say that was being added

I would love it if older gear that you kept just for the cool looks, you would be able to transfer the statistics of a much higher level gear piece to that piece (at the expense of the former weapon) so you would be able to wear it anytime! (Transmogrifer, please do this!)
It would do wonders to keep characters' appearances that much more varied.
I would also love it if the Void Storage was a way to have a personal inter-realm bank for all your characters (of the same faction) and a way for you to be able to transfer your heirlooms to any character, but I don't think it will be doable.

So I'm looking at the term void storage and the first thing that comes to mind was a comment about how difficult it was to deal with tabards and other vanity items. They wanted to make it similar to titles, but the equip mechanics weren't cooperating or some such.
So what if Void Storage is a place for these things. Obviously bank space is important so they don't want you to just be able to put anything in there. All the talk of special slots like a keyring (which they have now gotten rid of) for tabards, etc.? Why not just void storage and call it done?
Also, I think heirlooms is another candidate. I've sadly destroyed heirlooms because they stop being useful and I didn't have the space to store all that stuff. Pets and mounts that fill your mailbox the first time you log in? Why not make an item there so you can just extract. They take no space anyways once you learn them.
Oh man. Oh man. So many possibilities.

I'm guessing patch, it would seem odd to start teasing the next expansion before the finale to the current one has been teased.

I'm fairly sure that the Void Storage is what I spoke with Ghostcrawler about at the Blizzcon charity dinner last year. He mentioned it would be a vault that would hold old armour, weapons, etc, but with no enchants. Enchant codes take up server space, he explained. I really hope this is true.. I have so many old armour sets I would love to chuck in there.
I also hope that the transmogrify will allow us to change what our gear looks like. If it is true.. I will be again rocking the full judgement set

It's my hope that "Void Storage" is a BOA bank system that lets you send your heirlooms to opposite faction toons, a workaround for the mail-based system currently in place.
As a downside, this would crash the AH market for opposite faction vendor pets, but that was never really intended to be a thing anyhow.

I don't think the transmog is for changing the appearance of a piece of armor to look like another piece of armor. How do you even do that? A long list of every piece of armor there is for the slot you want to change? I don't see blizzard doing that with how neat they like to keep things.
What would make sense is changing colors. You raid. You do heroics. You get valor/justice gear or rep rewards and you have a very mismatched armor set on you in regards to color. I can see them implementing dyes into the game, much like RIFT has.
Blizzard also gave us the hint with the reforger. How you all play and don't know the reforger has always been called an "arcane reforger" is beyond me. That's nothing new.
This is all gear related.
Void storage and what makes the most sense is it is for transferring heirlooms and they back end system to do so starts with him. That's where you drop off your heirlooms and any other toon on any other server can go in and get what they need. When done, you put it back in there for any other toon that can use it. Its storage, account wide, for heirlooms.

The transmogrifier is a Calvin & Hobbes reference. One of Calvin's many uses for a cardboard box, it basically turned him to any shape he wished.

It is for warlocks and is directly related to there pets, giving a plethora of customization options to them.
