I've got a few of the trading card game mounts and wish I could have 'em all.
Regarding the wooly white rhino, it's not as large as a mammoth. They actually look a bit smaller than a kodo, at least with a Tauren on their back. A few patches back, I noticed that something had changed about the way they move. They move faster than their feet are actually running, so it kind of looks like they gliding/skating along. It's odd.
The riding turtle was the first TCG mount available and is still my favorite. Supposedly, the reason that it's 'run' speed is the same as a character's walking speed is that it didn't have a level restriction and Blizz didn't want to give an unfair advantage to low level characters.
I prefer the riding turtle's color to the one you get from fishing. I was pretty thrilled when I got it way back when and submitted a screenshot of my warrior riding his to Blizzard's screenshot gallery:

I've also got the magic rooster mount. The jokes are, indeed, inevitable.
