World-first Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest completed by Premonition

The unique Tarecgosa model is used as the mount, much like how players transform into a drake using the Vial of the Sands. Tarecgosa cannot carry another player as a passenger, however. From the screenshots, the mount version looks bigger than most drakes, noting its legendary status. Very, very cool. I like the fact that Blizzard has added in something that will let the legendary staff live on beyond its usefulness, as opposed to just looking nice when you equip it.
Again, big congratulations to Siiz and Premonition. Even though Siiz is a gnome, we won't hold it against him.

wow, thats amazing! I don't think anyone on my server (Khadgar-US- Alliance) has even got the Branch of Nordrassil lol

I'm from Khadgar-us to (my character name is kredian) and I think someone finally got the branch of nordisal. But I. Doubt anyone is close to the legendary

The question is now, does Tarecgosa count towards the mount achievements?
Also, stats aside, I'd give a kidneys to have a Drake Mount Of Unusual Size.

Unlikely, unless they've hardcoded it to contribute to the achievement.
The mount is technically an on-use effect on the Staff, it does not get added to your spellbook like other mounts. This is, at least, as far as I know.

It would be a little unfair if it DID count towards the mount achievement. Not everyone can equip a staff. I think it works like the Bloodsail hat or the Coyote hat. Doesn't count towards pet counts, but neat all the same.

Not everyone can obtain a dreadsteed, deathcharger, or paladin charger, either.
Either way, since this won't be put into your mount collection, I doubt it would count towards your mount number, similar to how the broomsticks work during hallow's eve.

Augh! Congrats to them.
This staff is especially painful for me. I'm an obsessive mount collector, but I'm a Death Knight.
Maybe if I pester a GM enough, he'll let me equip staves.

DAM IT we killed rag got the heart but we still need nearly a hundred more of those dam smoldering essences im not getting the staff but we were so close relatively to finsihing only need one more week to get the rest of the essences becuase we already killed all the bosses this week cept rag were doing him tonight.

I'm on Sen'jin, and after Siiz got the weapon a HUGE version of the above dragon floating in the middle of Stormwind with Matrix looking symbols floating in the air and Blue Drakes flying around. It was a sight to behold indeed.

From their site. The dragons around it are not far away or whatnot, they're right on it so you can tell the scale of the display. You could even speak to some drakes and they'd tell you that they were here to celebrate the new Aspect.
