The unique Tarecgosa model is used as the mount, much like how players transform into a drake using the Vial of the Sands. Tarecgosa cannot carry another player as a passenger, however. From the screenshots, the mount version looks bigger than most drakes, noting its legendary status. Very, very cool. I like the fact that Blizzard has added in something that will let the legendary staff live on beyond its usefulness, as opposed to just looking nice when you equip it.
Again, big congratulations to Siiz and Premonition. Even though Siiz is a gnome, we won't hold it against him.

Probably a blue... and may be replaced by a herioc weapon in the next raid tier, tbh. :/.
Although if the proc rate is high enough, getting an extra 4-stack arcane blast would be an astronomical dps increase.

Well I actually hope it gets more use and will last at least until heroic 5-mans in the next expansion. Those that work so hard for this deserve to get more use out of it. I can see Blizz doing another hard gear reset though and having quest greens with ilevel 500 in the next expansion so you never know.

576 int will be just a wee bit hard to beat in addition to the proc. I imagine it'll last for quite a while

The transform will insure it lasts longer than it'll be wielded, but that proc seems to "scale well" enough to get some good use.

Gratz! Even though you are a Mage :P This from a Shadow Priest. I too am on Sen'jin and almost craped my pants when I saw that sweet mount flying over Stormwind. It was made better by my daughter hating that the Alliance got it first as she plays horde.
