N3rKMinD's name is very difficult to type, but his WoW-themed video for The Pretender isn't difficult to watch at all. This music video is a fun, stylized romp through Azeroth alongside a night elf rogue who seems determined to lay down sweet, sweet revenge on some other night elves.
While I'm sure some readers will disagree, I actually really missed music videos like this. We don't see as many of them as we used to. I like a fun, narrative music video with some good old-fashioned rock and roll in the background. (The music is Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl performs with Tenacious D. That makes it rock and roll, okay?) A little rock and roll, a little night elf rogue, and a little vengeance come together for a kickass video.

Was I the only one who found the plot really confusing? There was almost too much explanation shoved into the first two thirds of this video and none of it really added anything to the protagonist's motivation.
I'm not sure but I'm seeing a ravenholt/syndicate sort of rivalry. I'm not sure, I'd have to watch it again but it really looked like the ravenholt manor was big blow-up at the end. Though, that theory doesn't explain why our rogue protaganist has it out for Ironforge, UNLESS that was all just a distraction.
The confusion actually adds to my enjoyment of the video overall. It's like a really good thriller - sometimes you come away not knowing exactly why things happened but BOY was it a ride while it was happening.
I wouldn't put too much factional literalism on this one, I'd just enjoy the ride. :)
Nice to see a video I recommended get featured for a change, 8-)
Or it may be a coincidence, who knows? It is a great video anyway. Needs much more love on Youtube. Rebecca Black gets millions of views for her stuff and this guy hasn't even got a thousand yet? No justice, i tell ya.
As for the motivation? She wants to blow up Ravenholdt.
Name any Rogue who has suffered the rep-grind for those beggars on the way to the "Insane" title and I am sure that he or she would like to do the same, 8-)
Well done, troops. Nearly four thousand views now on Youtube. No, its not mine, I do not have the skills to do anything approaching this stuff, or any idea of what tools to use. I just admire what can be done by someone with an eye for the material.
I liked it. I like the song. I have everything by the Foo Fighters. (BTW there was nothing remotely Tenacious D about that song. That was "Learn to Fly" where Tenacious D was in the video back in '99 if I'm not mistaken, but I digress.) It worked. Yeah, it was kind of explain-y but it all worked out in the end. I enjoyed seeing the song but together in a WoW video.
I quite enjoyed the little tribute to "Blind" with the run-by sword clash. The rest was very well done, although the use of the security-camera filter got a bit disorienting by the end.
And Lord knows you can't go wrong with the Foo Fighters.
I thought the same thing about "Blind" - overall I enjoyed this new video and I'm looking forward to more storytelling like this! (Thanks for posting the vid, Insider!)
Wonderful work. It is always a joy to see/hear a really good rock song get the wow-treatment.
This had really good use of effects to bolster the story. I enjoyed it thoroughly, though I'm not a fan of rogues in game. ;) I too thought of run-by sword-slash thing as an homage to Blind which was perfect. It was small but significant "wink" without being obnoxious. I certainly didn't expect the throwing-star. :)
I don't think people really mind music videos if they have a narrative. I understand that not every machiamist is able to do voice acting or knows people who can do convincing voice acting.

So glad to see one of the best Foo songs with a WoW video. I really enjoyed this video!!

Oh yeah, this one is good as well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EALAsiugDE4 - Katy Perry singing E.T.
only done using WoW.
I like the idea that Katy Perry is a Draenei.
