If blizzard ever wants to sucks billions (I'm actually not exaggerating) there's a fairly easy change they could make. Allow the [Vial of the Sands] mount to herb and mine the same way a druid in flight form can harvest herbs. Not only would this put everyone with some gold on the same footing as druids (something that's annoyed me for a long time) but it would almost require anyone seriously farming to spend 30k of their stockpile on the vendor mats for the drake.
I think that would be very healthy for the economy, sure we'd see everyone on the drakes, but we had the same problem with bronze drakes in wrath.

Or they could do the just and proper thing, and make herbing in flight form knock druids *out* of flight form for a second or two to even the tables.
Many's the time I've had herbs filched from beneath me by some rancid flapping herbninja. No more!

That old myth needs busted again. Druids cannot loot an herb faster than anyone else. If he got the herb first, then he was there first. Tauren can loot an herb faster, but that has nothing to do with Druids.

No, most druids cannot actually collect an herb faster than anyone else; however they do not need to dismount to do so, and even if they get into combat, their flight form is instant.
That is a big advantage in getting to the next node faster than a non-druid.
