GM's can restore that set for you. I put in a ticket during ICC saying basically that I was knew to the game and didn't think I'd want to hold on to old gear, but later regret trashing it and the GM was nice enough to give it back. It's just starter zone gear and vendors for copper, so there's no real risk involved as long as you dot make a habit of getting items restored.
