Most healers CANNOT solo up to 18 stacks (this is 25, YMMV if in 10). You need a cd at 12 (TB trinket, AM, PS, barrier, something) and dispersion at 18-19. Two healers might be able to manage 18 stacks, but at that point it is hitting for very nearly your entire health.

I'm curious to hear if anybody else has experience on this comment. I'm a holy priest and run 10-man Baleroc...I considered trying to have our shadow priest take all 25 stacks, but I only had the balls to let him get to 15 or so, mandating a crystal swap still. I'm wondering if we should 2-heal him up to 19 or if it's even possible to solo heal to 19 stacks the way this article implies.

The 25-man I'm in, I'm putting Pain Suppression on our SPriest and he goes to disperse around 20 stacks. We also have two people healing one person, so I don't know how how feasible solo-healing is.

I haven't healed this, but going by our raid's experience in 10 man, we don't let people take more than 12 stacks. Our hunter dies almost every attempt for one reason or another and it's usually after there was more than the -usual- 9 or 12 stacks on them. I don't doubt that more experienced raiders can push more stacks, and even a whole crystal, but for us average guilds, 12 is our limit.

In 10 man it requires 2 Healers to keep up for 19 stacks before Dispersion to take the rest.Usually we only do it on the 1st 1 or 2 (if 2 SP's in grp) shards to allow healers to get high amounts of vital sparks early on in the encounter. We usually do 12 stacks then pop a CD so we only ever have 2 people to take a debuff from any given shard - we have 2 SP's regular in our group and they usually pair with an Enhancement Shaman, Warrior or Feral Druid which works well for 2 manning shards. Our 5th DPS just nukes to make up the DPS lost by the SP's during Dispersion.Note though we are doing Firelands having started it in t11 Normal without full tier and zero HC gear. We just got 6/7 last week.

In our 10s raid we don't go any more than 12 stacks unless someone is using a CD. Usually we only go 9-10. 19 stacks is just plain terrifying.
