Of all the additions and changes that have been made to WoW over the past few years, Transmogrification is far and away the most exciting news I've received. It's something people have talked about for a long time now, but I was never entirely convinced Blizzard would get round to implementing such a thing, or even whether that's something they would want to do. My problem is, I very much enjoy the game, and even have some raiding experience - but I've never been able to commit myself to regular raiding. As such, my gear is almost always a jumbled mess - I'll have a piece of this tier, a couple of pieces of that tier, some BoP drops from the Auction House, some vendor gear, and maybe even a piece of late leveling gear that I've just struggled to replace. The end result is that my character looks like it's just emerged from an explosion in a textiles factory. Very little of the gear looks good, and none of it seems to fit with the other pieces of gear I'm wearing. It's got an awful aesthetic look to it, one that I can only really rid myself from by committing to running regular end-game content and piecing together a decent set of Tier Gear. The ability to reskin my gear would mean that, whilstever I continue to not be a hardcore raider, I can at least keep my character looking decent, and maybe even have a set of gear that looks good together - rather than the abysmal rainbow-coloured patchwork I'm donning at the moment.
