You mean, aside from Night/Blood Elves?
(OK they may not be identical, but at the level of recognition you're talking about there's absolutely no difference.)
At a more general level (ie lower LOD), gnomes/goblins, tauren/draenei.
No, the whole "silhouette recognition" thing I'm pretty sure was advanced as a half-baked player theory why there would never be cross-faction races. I'm pretty certain it wasn't ever something Blizzard said.
Further, it's not like we're taking 1000-yard sniper shots at each other. The glowing nameplate already tells me friend/foe, and the piddly what, 46-yard maximum range(?) means that I'm going to have a nice long look at whomever I'm fighting before it matters.
