Yesterday, we got huge news out of Irvine (via Germany): Last week's
teaser screenshot showing three ethereals is actually a glimpse at
new features coming in patch 4.3. And of all these new features, the one that seems to have the most players talking is transmogrification -- that is, being able to alter the appearance of the armor you currently have equipped.
Being a
WoW fanatic, I can't help but dream of the possibilities. How would you use the transmogrification system? Is there a specific gear set that you want to transmogrify into? For me, it's all about those priest tier 6 shoulders -- the height of shadow priest fashion.
Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Look at what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!

Every paladin in the world who doesn't have Judgement is lined up outside the entrance to BWL. I actually saw a couple of pug requests for it last night.
reb6672 Aug 18th 2011 8:14AM
Will that set come in XXXXL Cowadin sizes? :)
Mike Aug 18th 2011 8:33AM
I have Judgment, but I'm actually not going to use it. I'm going to opt for my Lightforge or Soulforge since those aren't obtainable anymore.

Definitely T2, + the shield from H Culling of Stratholme for my pallie. Any suggestions for an appropriate main hand?

Red Sword of Courage would go with it, I'd say. Nice sword.

For my Draenei paladin, I want the full tier 5 Crystalforge set.

My pally's going to use the purple version of Judgement, or Righteous plate dungeon sets. She's a human from Outland, though, so it makes more sense to equip her in Outland gear. T6 may be a good option for her too. I have a Crystalforged Sword from Blade's Edge I use for RP, so that'll be nice when I use swords. I may have to do some old class quests and/or roll some instances for a good mace, axe, and some shield options.
My other characters will be similarly equipped in spiffy gear from older content; my priest has dresses like crazy, but not a lot of the rest of the sets. Easy to fix though!

Clicking around on wowhead, and I've decided that the Shattered Sun exalted shield will look nice with Judgement, so off to finish that grind.

I'd rather like pally T4 ... being a Draenei pally and all. You humans can keep the T2. With Hammer of the Naaru or the Exodar sword from the Argent Tournament.

@LynMars
Ironically, that was my first thought, too. I've already been farming Outland on my DKs (draenei, blood elf) for some time now, so the thought of this gear being actually *usable* is really nice.

Meh, give ME the T6 Lightbringer! Glowy golden shiny armor plus the halo -- THAT'S a pally!
(just need the boots and gloves...)

Because my Pally is a Blood Elf, I actually want to try and recreate the Blood Knight gear you see on NPCs. I need to do some research into it, but I already have a quest item that fits. (I think it was a shield? I just remember hanging onto it.)

@Draelan

you're welcome

hahaha Fox that picture is just priceless
restodr00d Aug 18th 2011 8:03AM
and comment system ftw! I will be using it BUt on my druid since well... your picture makes it very clear.
Noyou Aug 18th 2011 10:53AM
I will use the transmogrification as intended. Maybe they will bring back tree of life for druids...
2011681 Aug 18th 2011 12:35PM
I intend to transmogriphy (is that the right spelling?) my Glyph of the Treant onto my armor. With any luck and a just god, this will result in the old tree form, except permanent and without any bonuses. Then when I shapeshift, it'll be like I evolved. Pokedruids FTW.
Xaklo Aug 19th 2011 2:53PM
Except Pokedruids would stay evolved. You want to change back after a while, yes? Digidruids is what you want.
Love the pokemon games, but as for the shows digimon > pokemon.

Ye gods, that image is hilarious. ^_^
For my main, my night elf fire mage, I'm going to put in the time and get the Tirisfal Regalia set: http://www.wowhead.com/itemset=649 I've loved this set since BC, back when I knew I had absolutely no hope of ever getting it. Now it's worth a shot.
For my DK, let's just say I'm really, really glad I held onto the blue armor from the DK starting area. Bwa ha ha. Also, she still has two swords that glow blue and purple from the Argent Dawn quests pre-Cataclysm, so those should be very appropriate once she gets some swords to dual-wield.
Haven't decided what to do with the others, but for those looking for a good set to use, check out this page: http://www.wowhead.com/itemsets?filter=cl=8 You can filter it for your class so you can see what's out there.
