Yesterday, we got huge news out of Irvine (via Germany): Last week's
teaser screenshot showing three ethereals is actually a glimpse at
new features coming in patch 4.3. And of all these new features, the one that seems to have the most players talking is transmogrification -- that is, being able to alter the appearance of the armor you currently have equipped.
Being a
WoW fanatic, I can't help but dream of the possibilities. How would you use the transmogrification system? Is there a specific gear set that you want to transmogrify into? For me, it's all about those priest tier 6 shoulders -- the height of shadow priest fashion.
Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Look at what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!

Seriously? They're also adding another raid and THREE 5-mans. Also I hate the whole "there's no content" QQing people use. For people who don't think that end game is the only thing that matters, there's plenty of content with the whole REDESIGNING THE WORLD thing they did. So sorry if people who actually liked more than just one aspect of the game got a little attention this time around.
And the whole "WoW's dead/dying" rhetoric is repeated so many times that you just sound like every other little nobody on the internet. Shut up and let us enjoy this great addition to the game, because in a few months when patch 4.3 hits and you've already beaten it, you'll just go back to QQ'ing. Nothing satisfies people like you, and we don't want to hear your bitching.

Also: That reply was not meant for you, but the no good QQ'er above you. Sorry about that. WTB edit button.

Is there any site that shows all tier sets in detail for every class?
I definitely want to get my shaman main the Tier 8 set from Ulduar - I loved those shoulders....I don't know why i deleted em....but I want to have a look at all Shammy Tiers that were out.
HappyTreeDance Aug 18th 2011 8:46AM
Wowhead has them all.

Sonalita Aug 18th 2011 8:51AM
wowwiki has them - e.g. www.wowwiki.com/Warlock_sets. From there you can get to any other class's armor sets. Click on a set name and go to the "gallery" section

@Sonalita:
Wowpedia, not wowwiki.
In addition to the ads, there have been reports of people (and I'm one of them) picking up viruses from wowwiki.

I know I should probably restrain myself. I know that people are going to think less of me for it. Much less.
But I'm nonetheless certain that I'm going to find the closest approximation I can to a plate bikini and tank forevermore in that.

I think this is what you want - http://www.wowhead.com/compare?items=14900:14895:14896:14897:14898:14901:14903:14899:14902 ;)
Don't forgo non-tier item sets for choosing a nice look! Wowpedia lists many such collections here: http://www.wowpedia.org/Item_collections

I would never think less of you for that. "Tramps like us, baby we were born to run..."
Namy Aug 18th 2011 8:33AM
Another question :P Do you think the enchants you currently have on your weapon will be visible on your cosmetic weapon?
GrandOldDuke Aug 18th 2011 11:13AM
By the same token: Come next expansion, or even next raid tier if there is one, and Fandral's Flamescythe becomes obsoleted for kitties, would duping it onto whatever you upgrade it to, still make you a flamekitty? I'm sure it would; what a waste if it didn't.
Linnia Aug 18th 2011 11:40AM
Ooh nice idea. I loved the enchant effect for Crusader.
Succulent Aug 18th 2011 8:35AM
I'd kept a full red set of the DK style t8 armour from Ulduar because I liked the design, so that most likely!
Weapons wise, I've been collecting swords and axes for quite some time and it's finally coming in handy. I have a range of 2H to choose from, but my 1H will likely be dual wielding a Nightmare Blade from Taere (or whatever he was called, a nightmare dragon) and a sword you get from the end of the shifting sands quest line with the same look as Maladrath from BWL. Nightmare Blade is a green version, they look pretty nice as a pair.

As a warrior?
I can see it with Tier 1 + Lionheart Executioner = Win
As prot T6 + bulwark .. go go
Aurendar Aug 18th 2011 8:39AM
Ahhhhh.... Can FINALLY drag out my hunter Tier 5 - Rift Stalker set! Loves me some lightning bolts!!
tordenflesk Aug 18th 2011 8:40AM
A full set of level 1 whites. That is all.
Sonalita Aug 18th 2011 8:52AM
Nope, the items you transmogrify into must have stats. No white items allowed.
loop_not_defined Aug 18th 2011 8:41AM
Let's hope they bring back Season 3 sets in some form or another.
pancakes Aug 18th 2011 9:09AM
Tier 6 has the same models as season 3 gear. Different colour schemes though.
