Phat Loot Phriday: Obsidian Arborweave Shoulders
The druid shoved the Obsidian Arborweave Shoulders across the table with a disgruntled snort. "I really should just become a moonkin. These shoulders let you summon flaming treants. Think about it! Trees on fire! They attack things. That's enough of a draw for anyone."
Throgg only stared into his mug.
"How is he?" the Gilnean asked quietly.
"Getting there," Throgg responded. "Stopped cursing. Stopped sweating. Just resting now. Still breathing. Last time, cursing and sweating lasted much longer."
"It was good that he did it, you know," the druid said slowly. "You'd have died. Lolegolas will make it through this, but it's not like you come back from being dead. It was a fair trade."
"I'd do same," Throgg sighed, downing his pale ale quickly. "But my job is to watch out for the little elf, not make him do these things for me. I'm the tank. That's how it works."
"You're allowed to trade, from time to time," the Gilnean countered. "It's fair."
"No," Throgg said firmly. "I take the hits. That's what the tank does."
"Well, maybe the flaming trees can do that next time."
How to get rid of it Really? Don't like flaming trees? Well, you can sell it for 14 gold and 6 copper, but you should probably wait until T13 comes out.

Sounds appropriate to me...

Throgg doesn't have 10g to spare for Dual Spec?
Boobah Aug 19th 2011 5:42PM
For some people Dual Spec means that they get to have two tank specs.
Sleutel Aug 19th 2011 7:16PM
Druids are especially screwed with four possible specs: tank, healer, melee DPS, or ranged DPS. At any given time, they can only be specced into a maximum of half of those potential roles.

Yay! Not Spot is back. ^^
I wonder if he is now a fire kitty? Since he apparently killed Staghelm. o.o
Adam Aug 19th 2011 5:57PM
I saw someone in the AH yesterday that was a flame kitty, it that a piece of gear? I couldn't tell by just inspecting him.
LynMars Aug 19th 2011 6:02PM
@Adam: it's the staff you get from Staghelm. So maybe Not Spot got lucky, or he has to go back with his raid and try again while Throgg continues to nurse Lolegolas.
Revynn Aug 19th 2011 6:09PM
Its the staff that drops off of Staghelm. Feral Druids that have it will turn into a Fire Kitty in combat, but there is a way to glitch out the effect so you can stay as a Fire Kitty indefinitely.
Quaza Aug 19th 2011 8:13PM
It's not so much a glitch, but a hidden on-use effect. 2-hour cooldown, unlimited duration (out of combat).
LynMars Aug 19th 2011 6:01PM
Awww, Throgg has guilty tank syndrome. I know that feeling well. Hurray Not-Spot there to help!
Maribel Aug 19th 2011 6:27PM
It might help if Not-Spot has a bear spec. It's hard for non-tanks to understand, I think.
Corvana Aug 19th 2011 6:26PM
Now that Blizzard has increased threat generation from 300% to 500%, perhaps this won't be a problem anymore, Throgg...
Corvana Aug 19th 2011 6:28PM
Also, I know that I've been away from the game for a while, but when did mages start wearing leather? Or is there some joke that just whooshed over my head?
Arrohon Aug 19th 2011 6:33PM
Um, where did you get that idea? Mages wear cloth. If you're talking about Not-Spot (the Gilnean) he's a druid and they've always worn leather.
Corvana Aug 19th 2011 6:44PM
"How to get it Kill the Alliance's #1 enemy, Majordomo Staghelm. Win the loot roll versus the five death knights, mages, rogues, and other druids."
That's why I asked.
Me Aug 19th 2011 6:55PM
Mantle of the fiery vanquisher token is shared by these classes.
Arrohon Aug 19th 2011 6:56PM
Oh, it's a token. The token can be redeemed for the T12 shoulders for all of those classes.
nekoali Aug 19th 2011 6:56PM
He'll drop a shoulder armor token, not the armor itself. You then take it to Orgrimmar or Stormwind to trade it in for the armor. The token for druids is also shared by DK's, Mages and Rogues.
Zabrah Aug 19th 2011 8:41PM
I believe that's why the article says "Win the loot roll versus the five death knights, mages, rogues, and other druids" under the heading *How to get it*.
