With the recent announcements about transmogrification, we're all taking a look backwards at old favorite raids and gears. I have to admit that my favorite raid was Karazhan, but I also have a soft spot for Ulduar. That was the return of the plate dress for paladins, and we all know how much paladins love their plate dresses.
Of course, being a machinima guy, when I look back at Ulduar, I immediately think of Ulduar by Cranius and Summergale. Legs crafted the video itself. Not only did she put together a fun dance video, but she managed to capture the look and feel of Wrath in a single film. This whole piece is just amazing, and I still love everything about it. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
I totally forgot that this was Cranius. I'm so used to his stuff having a different sound. It just goes to show that when you have two premium voices they can do just about anything. I also bought the album - LOVE EET!
Now if someone made this using a different model than the male belf... yes I know I'm a broken record. The dance moves available to them really throws me off in this video. I totally admit this could be my underlying dislike of them in general tainting my view. :) On the flip-side, I think the she-troll works perfectly here.
Those are probably my two favorite WoW machinima of all.
Every time I watch Big Blue Dress, I feel like playing a Mage (highest level 63 *sigh*) and when I watch Ulduar, I remember fondly all the times spent there.
Does anyone remember the name of that female human paladin who made the epic narrative video of Ulduar? I can't find it now. I thought it was really good at capturing the story of Ulduar.
It's an amazingly well done video. I have it downloaded in full (from his site) at home and at work and sometimes I'll just start it up, minimize it, and let it play while I'm doing other things.
Just a shot...but there's Ulduar: The Movie. Don't know if its from the same group...but I know the female paladin tank that narrates the adventure is pretty awesome.
How odd. I randomly went to watch this on youtube for the first time in months this morning, and now it's on here....
Needless to say, I love it. I happily bought Cranius' album, but I was a little disappointed that this wasn't on it with credit to Summergale. Oh well. If he makes another, I'll happily buy that one too!
I think it's a copyright thing when they use other people's music, like Ulduar is a parody of The Way I Are by Timbaland. Cranius' album was all original music.

I am sorry but i hate them. As much as i think T2 was awesome, i think blizzard is overdoing it now. Every second tier we get those damm shirts and frankly it just looks like an excuse for blizzard to not design any paladin boot model which they won't put on any of the actual plate boots anyway, save for maybe the holy ones.
I saw the trailer for patch 3.3 and was like "How is Tirion riding a horse with that armor on?"

I've seen that so many times but Big Blue Dress is so iconic to me that it's always weird to see Cranius voicing a Blood Elf with a bike.

Ulduar: Defiance, I think, is what you're looking for?
The Dewd Aug 19th 2011 12:12PM
I always spell the name wrong but it's from the Pally Stole My Bike one. Invisusira, I think?

You guys are right. Thanks!

Ulduar: Defiance is by far THE best Ulduar machinima imo
All three of them are just epic and they got me hooked to Two Steps from Hell.

Should add @ The Dewd, right click the link to save it, otherwise it just plays (if you have quicktime)

I miss Ulduar, but I very do not miss Dks believing that they were Uber players in Wrath just because they were OP at the 60 bracket.

The good ones were great and the bad ones were just, well... they weren't good.

Maybe the next one we can tie the Void Banking into a way to repost Blind!

Ah yes, that's a fair enough point. Still a shame though!

Metal skirts is not without historical foundations :P
Also, keeps the fact that many pallies are lorewise just priests that "rerolled" warrior.
