The Queue: Purple is perfection

You know, the Crystalforge set doesn't look bad at all when you put it on a Draenei. With the right accessories to accompany it, it actually looks very good! The problem is that there are races other than Draenei that have to wear it. It doesn't hold the same charm when a Human male wears it.
Ice asked:
Do you think 4.3 will last almost year like ICC (~11 months) and Sunwell(~10 months) did? Or do you predict that this time its possible that the expansion release start of the 2012 unlike end of the year considering that theres few upcoming MMO's coming at those times too?
Personally, I have a lot of difficulty speculating on Blizzard's release schedule. Every time the company suggests it's trying to speed up its patch releases or expansion releases, it ultimately falls into the exact same schedule it's had for years. I would like to say that we won't be stuck with patch 4.3 for an entire year, since Blizzard's placed the next expansion on a rather hasty release schedule ... but this is Blizzard. We will, most likely, be doing patch 4.3's raid for a good nine to 12 months.
H asked:
say i transmog Elementium-Edged Scalper to look like Skullforge Reaver, will it still sheath on my hip or sheath on my back like Skullforge Reaver?
I don't know for sure since I haven't been able to use the system (obviously), but my assumption is that it would sheath on your back, since the weapon becomes the Skullforge Reaver visually. I would guess it takes on all physical aspects of the item.
@Biscuit_UK asked:
If a paladin wants to wear a set that's not Judgement, which would be your pick?
Me, personally? My paladin is going to wear Lightbringer, which is tier 6. While Tirion Fordring left a black mark on that set during Wrath of the Lich King, it's still one of the best-looking armor sets in the game, I think.
I don't agree with all of the people that say Judgement was the only good paladin set. Yes, paladins have been given some really awful tier sets. Yes, the good paladin tier sets aren't nearly as good as the sets some other classes have been given. Despite those things, there's still some great stuff to work with. The Justicar set is simple but strong. Lightsworn from Icecrown Citadel is pretty good. I actually ended up liking tier 11's Sapphirium (minus the hat.) Crystalforge can actually look great on Draenei ... but only Draenei.
@D_Manchild asked:
Do you think they will ever add more non-max level dungeons?
I find it highly unlikely. Blizzard may revamp some of them, like what was done with Shadowfang Keep and The Deadmines, but there really isn't much point in adding more content to the earlier levels of the game. As was displayed very well with Cataclysm, you need to fix up your really ancient content to woo new players, but the vast majority of players don't really perceive low-level content as content. Most long-time players blaze past it so fast that it might as well not be there at all.
Making sure there is enough content at the level cap is what is most important, because it gives players something to do when they hit the end of the road. Cataclysm quite notably did not have enough such content, because the low-level content revamp took so much of Blizzard's energy. The revamp was badly needed, but level-cap content certainly took a huge hit because of it.
To repeat: I don't think we'll see low-level dungeons built from scratch. I do think we'll see more revamps in the style of SFK and DM.

Question for the Q (and other commenters)
Is anyone else having trouble with an unresponsive script on the WoW Insider pages causing the page to load eternally? The article, comments, and sidebars load, but Firefox never actually finishes the loading.
ladygamertn Aug 22nd 2011 11:13AM
I use Firefox and all is fine with me.
Boydboyd Aug 22nd 2011 11:25AM
Future you told me to come here and remind you that you should have switched to Google Chrome a long time ago.
MattKrotzer Aug 22nd 2011 11:29AM
Past me came to the future to tell present you that you should at the very least be running NoScript, and you won't have these issues. Or ads.
Nina Katarina Aug 22nd 2011 11:29AM
@Boydboyd
Not everybody reads this from home, and many workplaces forbid one to put normal and sane browsers on their workspace computer. Written from Internet Explorer. Oh, the horrors.
Boydboyd Aug 22nd 2011 11:34AM
@Nina
You have my sympathies, truly.
I didn't think about it that way. Thankfully, my IT department is a tiny bit open-minded.
To the OP: I didn't mean for my comment to be an end-all, be-all. While I am a supporter and user of Chrome, and suggest that you use it to, my comment is only that: a suggestion.
Death to Internet Explorer
Mcdreamy Aug 22nd 2011 11:35AM
Hmm. I should have done this earlier. I pulled up adblock and started blocking/unblocking items to see what triggered it. Apparently, the XML request "CheckData" is what keeps hanging.
It's beyond my paygrade to troubleshoot beyond blocking it. Just FYI if anyone else is having a problem with it.
loop_not_defined Aug 22nd 2011 11:39AM
Ditto what Nina Katarina said.
Written from Internet Explorer *7*.
Skarn Aug 22nd 2011 11:50AM
Oh, Loop. How I WISH. My work still runs Internet Explorer *6*.
Yes, really. It's incredible. A company-wide memo went out a month ago saying we were going to upgrade to IE 8 sometime in the future. Soon (tm).
Shepherd57 Aug 22nd 2011 11:50AM
I am running from IE 9 and everything is all clear. However, Chrome is still superior in my personal opinion.
Cambro Aug 22nd 2011 12:03PM
Skarn, tell your company that the security certificates built into Internet Explorer 6 have all EXPIRED, meaning using Internet Explorer 6 for any secure connection is itself a security violation. That might get their attention and hopefully upgrade to a modern version sometime earlier than "sometime in the future", which in corporate-speak could be 2 years or longer.
Amaxe Aug 22nd 2011 12:35PM
I use Firefox and had this problem about 30% of the time on WI and almost never elsewhere. Perhaps it is a mixture of NoScript vs. WoW Insider scripts?
KvanCetre Aug 22nd 2011 12:47PM
@Skarn
Do you happen to work for a mega bank, too?
No names, of course...
The Dewd Aug 22nd 2011 1:09PM
I find this humorous because... I can easily read the pages at work but they grind and hang at home. It might be adblock, though, since I have that installed at home but at not at work. I just figured it was a quirk of my systems (Windows at home, Ubuntu at work) using Firefox on both. I might try installing Chrome at home, though, to see if that helps.
DonNochay Aug 22nd 2011 1:19PM
@Nina
How about you don't sit around while on the clock reading gaming websites? How does that sound? Logical, mature, perhaps?
Skarn Aug 22nd 2011 1:23PM
@KvanCetre
Heh, yep! Which makes it all the more hilarious. In fact, we're rolling out an update to our online banking website which requires IE 7 or better. So the fancy new update can not even be used within the bank itself. O_o
icepyro Aug 22nd 2011 1:51PM
Sheesh next you'll tell me you are running XP with SP2 still. Speaking of IE6...

Don,
How about you understand basic concepts like breaks, downtime, or the fact that not all workplaces/positions operate exactly like yours or have the same rules/expectations?
William C Emmitt Aug 22nd 2011 2:56PM
After reading the comments about the megabank security risks, I'm SOOO happy that I bank with a small-ish bank in the midwest centered around our local university.

Internet Explorer is the number 1 web browser use to find another web browser.
