Omg the Guild Wars 2 videos that came out of Gamescon were awesome! IF, and that's a big if, Arenanet can make gw2 interesting enough to be worth playing for over a year on a single character, I really think it will be the next big MMO. It looks amazing, seems to play amazing, and sounds like it's actually fun, instead of a rewarding grind.

I think that it would have to be much longer than a year playing a single character for a game to be the "next big MMO".

I'm quite interested in seeing more about this WildStar MMO. I found the trailer highly enjoyable and fun.

Really? I thought it looked like the Pixar movie of bad gender stereotypes from hell.

I have very high hopes for Guild Wars 2. Combat that's a hybrid of action and hotkey, dynamic events that any and all players can participate in and change the world (in a sort of tug 'o war back-and-forth style), a storyline focused on the player, and almost everything's setup in a way that encourages players to play together yet limit griefing and stealing. Oh, and there's Charr, which, IMO, are better designed than Worgen (even ignoring the failure with the female Worgen models, which have a severe case of chihuahua head).
Only thing I'm really bummed about is no mounts so far! The dynamic event system lends itself well to exploring, so I'm hoping they add mounts to make the exploration that much smoother (at least they have the waypoint system).

Only thing I'm really bummed about is no mounts so far. Considering the dynamic event system lends well to exploration (finding hidden events) you'd think they'd add mounts for faster travel! Oh well, at least the waypoint system ensures I don't have to wait 10 minutes to travel across an entire continent.

That Wildstar trailer looked interesting. the movement had a Beyond Good and Evil feel to it. I'll have to keep my eye on it.

Too bad about the World Of Starcraft. I mean, I don't need THAT particular IP, but Mass Effect's success should have shown the market that a Science Fiction MMO could succeed. Originally, I thought that's where WAR was going, before I found out it was another fantasy re-hash.
Please, someone buy the license to Traveller and make it an MMO.

There's always ToR and dark millennium.

I'm still kinda surprised there's no Dune MMO.
