Folks seemed to like The Pretender by N3rkz, so let's hit another music video by the same creator. I Found Away is a music video for the Alkaline Trio'sI Found a Way. The video's title is actually I Found Away, which I prefer to think is a clever comment on the machinima's content.
I really like what N3rkz does with these videos. The action is compelling, and the narration moves with a sense of urgency. While the story itself is clearly up for interpretation, you definitely get a sense of events and emotion.
I also appreciate being introduced to the song I Found a Way. While all the hip kids might already know the Alkaline Trio, I was too busy barking for you to get off my lawn to have heard of them. The music fits the video very well, and the tune was pretty catchy. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.
That song is one of my favorites to listen to while playing WoW (as well as the entire album Agony and Irony; lyrically most of the songs seem to fit WoW somehow), so I was excited to see it featured in a video! The video itself is awesome. My favorite part was from 3:02 to 3:10. I think seeing the character running reminded me of my own time in game (as well as my emotional connection to the song) so it brought out some strong feelings in me. Gotta love it when you can connect with a video on a personal level. I was not familiar with N3rkz prior to today and I look forward to checking out their other machinima. Going to listen to more Alkaline Trio now! ^_^
Just wanted to make a slight correction, as the Alk3 ink on my arm is burning.... the Alkaline Trio song is also called "I Found Away". As opposed to "I Found A Way" as the article states. Semantics, yes but in the context of the song, it makes all the difference!
You got a tattoo of a band Snuke? How old are you? You sure that was a good idea? What happens in 5 years when you don't like the band anymore? Pretend like you like it I guess? I personally think the music is Meh. Maybe I'm old, maybe I've heard a hundred bands that sound like them before. I hear nothing novel, nothing interesting about the music. My opinion of course, but as usual- the new cool band sounds like 50 other bands before them, with no real original sound. Just another high school emo band, imho.
Well you're totally entitled to your opinion, Gork, but in my modest little life, music is very important to me. Music in some form or another (whether it be my own or someone elses) is directly responsible for getting me through some really rough times in life. I'm sure most people can relate to that. Educate yourself on a topic before you speak, however. Alkaline Trio has been a part of my life since 1998, so i doubt that will really change in 5 or 50 years. Btw, its going to be a full quarter sleeve when its done...Mercy Me.

I mean, alkaline trio is only 15 years strong. not "another high school emo band" kind of thing. Dick.
