Occasionally, you get to see a music video for WoW that raises the bar a little higher than the norm. Rolling with Mad Deeps is one such video. It features a wonderful vocal performance, accessible lyrics reflecting on real gameplay, and a simple, fun video. This is the kind of stuff we most love to see.
Xander and PaddyDCups are responsible for the video, and I hope to see more from them in the future. I really loved this song. The vocal performance is so strong that I wasn't distracted by the fact that this is obviously a parody. If this is the kind of quality these folks can consistently put out, I wouldn't be surprised to see them become fan favorites very quickly.

Adele is simply amazing. I only wish the video was actually a tribute to the song it is riding on the coattails of.
(scenes completely disjointed from audio in 95% of screentime, singer has no vocal talent and chose an extremely demanding song to copy, lyrics were flat, uninspired, absolutely no emotional investment.)
Normally when watching such things, I tend to overlook the performance of the vocal artist because its not whats important. but in this case, there is nothing else to rate here, as this is not machinima. It is merely a music video. So the only thing to rate is the music, and the video. Both are completely uninspired.
High production quality. Much sweat was put into this production. But it has no soul.
Video was neat. Lyrics were pretty good. But... seriously Michael? "Wonderful vocal performance"? Are we listening to the same thing? The vocals in that video make Rebecca Black seem like a world class opera singer.
took me about 30 seconds when he said "We're gonna blow hero!" and I'm like "...wait...what?" - then "Shammy blew hero!" - and I'm like "OH! Right, Ally's call Blood Lust Heroism... riiiight." Personally don't see an issue with calling it blood lust but... whatever, cool vid.
Aww... quit your bashing. Does it match up to a professional recording? No, but it was much better than most WoW parodies. I liked the vid. It was a nice change from the usual 3 minutes dancing blood/night elves.
Wow, are you people seriously bashing the vocals? Yeah he's not Adele. Yeah there could have been a few adjustments. But he was in tune, he was clear with the words, could understand every one of them, he was in time with the music. What really is there to complain about? I would be proud if I made this video. All being done with in-game footage and not looking choppy and rough is an achievement.
Enjoyable, and to the people bitching about the vocals- at least the vocalist put in some effort as opposed to much of the crap music coming out that relies on Autotune, rather than the skill of the vocalist.
Do people even know what Autotune's proper use is?? You have no way of knowing whether his vocals were corrected or not. Every song you've heard in the last 10-15 years has had correction on the vocals. Most of the time you'll never know.
I absolutely love this! I have the biggest grin on my face. My guild has been struggling with Beth on Heroic this week, and I just -have- to share this with them. ^_^

They did a great job I loved the song. However, it cries for Adele's vocal range.

I agree with the above. The song itself is genius and awesome.
The singing....not so much.

Again, a parody makes fun of the original work, it does not just steal the melody and change the lyrics. Please stop calling these parodies!
gewalt Aug 24th 2011 2:16PM
your definition of parody is wrong.
Pyromelter Aug 24th 2011 2:17PM
The video itself says "(Adele Cover)" - so yeah, I would say that you are right, a cover =|= a parody.

Excellent video, though maybe it needed a couple scenes of raid wipes to go along with the lyrics. :)
And stop hating on the fact that he doesn't have the range of a professional singer. I think he did fine.
cakeordeath Aug 24th 2011 3:30PM
i thought blood elf rap was bad, but this is a new low...boring singer with no emotions with lyrics in "leet" speak...ugh no thank you.

Something tells me half of the people that downvoted this didn't even listen to the music. /cheers
