I have been leading raids since vanilla WoW.

I have had more poor DPSers in those raids than I can possibly recall.

Not one of them - NOT ONE - has every been able to offer up a valid excuse for their poor DPS beyond:
- Lack of skill
- Ignorance

Some of them are genuinely time-limited, and don't wish to spend the time correcting the above issues. That's a perfectly valid position, but not if you want to raid.
