If I was considering quitting the game, transmogrification wouldn't be enough to change my mind. But I'm not, so no worries there. ^_^
What it has done is get me interested in running older content, stuff I missed in vanilla and BC and even WotLK because I'm not dedicated enough to raid. Running older stuff at a higher level with my guildies is always a good time, and if we're doing it for the sake of getting some nifty stuff to display? So much the better.
Also, I just plain like the idea of being able to better determine what my character looks like. If nothing else, my main's an engineer; she really should be able to wear goggles all the time.

Amen, Hallelujah! Praise engineering! I am of the same mind- goggles should be on an engineer at all times. My only dilemma is Gnomish X-Ray Specs or Junior Technicians?

Engineering googles were the first thing that appeared in my head when I read about Transmogrification (pun intended :p ).

@Dark
me too! by the time I actually am able to get mine made they will probably not be worth all that much. I was going back looking at some old ones and unfortunately all the cooler ones seems to be cloth. So for headgear at least, I hope they let us change cloth into mail/plate etc. (yes I know they said they won't - right now) or come up with more versions. The other really cool thing would be shields. Shields for protections specs should say something about them, more than what some artsy fartsy pants (who probably doesn't even play the game) wants to display.
