It just occurred to me - transmogrifying is nearly Blizzard's ultimate cop-out. (I don't literally mean it, I know the community has been asking for this feature or some variation for a very, very long time.)
But seriously, with the bulk of their systems programmers and creative team moved over to Titan years ago, now they can send away a bunch of their artists and modelers as well. All they have to have left is terrain modelers and artists (and lets be honest, enough of WoW is rehashed terrain and textures that there can't be TOO many of them left)
Think about it - people are going to xmog their gear to look like how they want to look. And what are the odds that ANYTHING we're going to find in the next expansion looks cooler than EVERYthing we've seen for the last 6 years? Pretty small?
So honestly, Blizz could make the next raid drop 'variations on twill' for the next 15 levels, we would barely notice, as long as the stat budgets keep climbing, because we're just going to change it (back) into our beloved Jade Breastplate Bikini anyway....no?
