If you don't want to do archaeology all day, the linked hat has many same-model counterparts; but my personal favourite is the Mok'Nathal Beast-Mask from Auchenai Crypts; Alliance could use the Far Seer's Helm from Kurenai rep instead. Unfortunately the Pauldrons of Primal Fury from the original ZA are no longer with us, and the Pauldrons of Nalorakk are too intensely red to match well.
The main problem with fist weapons, of course, is finding an offhand; they tend to be out of the way and hard to find these days, if they even exist. Mostly they tend to be axes. I share your disdain for axes!
I'm rather a fan of the Ulduar mace model you *didn't* mention - Shiver/Pulse Baton/Stonerender. And dwarves can't go far wrong with the Ironforge Smasher/Aledar's Battlestar from ToC! Unless you'd prefer the Tankard O' Terror, of course.
Axewise, Nighttime from Forge of Souls is one of the better options. Troll shaman may like the Hate-Forged Cleaver from Halls of Reflection. One of my favourite axe models is actually green; the Rustmaul Axe (which has various duplicates). For archeologists, the Nifflevar Bearded Axe is worth checking out.

Oh, and Horde barbarians who did the ToC dailies have access to the Teldrassil Protector's counterpart; the Axe of the Sen'jin Protector. Which always looked more tauren than troll to me, so maybe steak shaman may like it too?
Also available from the tournament vendors for Horde is the Grimhorn Crusher, which shares a model (although not a colour palette) with Mariel's Sorrow from ToC. It's very orc.

For fist weapons, you could also try the Ironspine Point and Mag'hari Fighting Claw - giant clawed animal oven mitts! Shirrak the Dead Watcher in Auchenai Crypts drops the Claw of the Watcher, which sadly has no matching offhand, but which *does* have writhing tentacles and an eye which twitches. It's the squid staff of fist weapons.

These are all some really awesome options. I seem to remember a weapon out of heroic Underdog that was really cool too...Bogstrike Knuckles, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately I couldn't include.every cool weapon in the game, or the post would be waaaY too long!

The Claw of the Watcher, whilst not an exact match, has a spiritual companion in the form of the Boggspine Knuckles from Hungarfen (Underbog Heroic).
Another matching pair of Fists are the Lightning Claws (Reflex Blades and Stormreaver Warblades) from TBC instances.

I guess the moral of the story is that everyone has things they think are better. :D

I looked through the rare weapons and these are the things I really like:

Maces include the Bloodskull Destroyer that looks like a two hand mace with a friggin ruby skull: http://www.wowhead.com/item=28210#screenshots:id=101404
If you can't find a rare drop weapon try to check for weapons with the same model but they might have a different color.
