Alexran asked:
Why do people think Blizz is against new hero classes? In the Cataclysm FAQ, they flat out say they are planning on adding more.
You're right, the Cataclysm FAQ on Blizzard's site says that. But there's no indication that "the future" is now or will be coming in the next expansion. More so, the designers have stated multiple times that it's very difficult to balance a new class, and they'd rather work with existing components than try to introduce a new variable into an already packed system.
Basically, there's no evidence beyond a "yeah, we'd like to do it in the future" -- but a lot of evidence of Blizzard's saying how much it doesn't like doing it.
Remember, too, that the FAQ you linked is PR material. You get a very different view from Blizzard PR than you do from the designers themselves. Blue posts and designer comments trump everything, in my opinion.
Sneakygar asked:
What is the latest word on the Top Hat pattern?
No one knows when or where the High Society Top Hat is getting released. Lots of people have their hopes up that the revamped Darkmoon Faire will reward the pattern, and I think that's the best bet.
WoWie Zowie asked:
has blizzard said whether or not the item to transmogrify needs to be soulbound?
As it stands, Blizzard has indicated you must be able to wear both the item you're changing and the one that you're copying the image from, and BOEs count as "unwearable" until you put them on.
So yes, it looks like the armor will need to be soulbound.
Trayel asked:
Are there details yet on the WoW Insider meet-up at Blizzcon this year? Did I just miss them? Or have they not been released yet?
Soon™.

What's going on with Blizzard's defaul raid frames? Regularly, they bug out in very annoying ways - can't target particular frames, frames duplicate in place of someone who's just left, or they vanish entirely. Several times, I'm apparently the only one in my group. It's especially irritating when I'm trying to heal.
What's up with it?
Shinae Aug 29th 2011 1:17PM
I've been experiencing that issue, too. When it happens, I have to ask my party/raid to wait for a moment while I reload. I assumed it was a bad interaction with one of my addons. However, I don't have any unit frame addons.
lazymangaka Aug 29th 2011 1:21PM
You're not alone. 4.2 caused some major issues with the default raid frames and there doesn't seem to be a single fix that anyone has come up with. Truthfully, I'm not at all certain that Blizzard has even acknowledged the problem. My wife, who had been relying on the Blizzard frames for BG healing, has temporarily skirted the problem by switching to Grid.
Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
MattKrotzer Aug 29th 2011 1:25PM
I didn't have a problem until the last week or two, when it suddenly cropped up. I suspect one of the hotfixes broke something.
Schadenfreude Aug 29th 2011 2:05PM
I'd like to be able to get rid of the blizzard default entirely. GRID FOREVER.
eel5pe Aug 29th 2011 2:17PM
Yeah those errors are uber-annyoing and persist even when I disable all my addons. You'll find multiple complaints in the official bug forums, but oddly nothing on the list of known bugs- probably because Blizzard doesn't know what's going on either.
In your interface menu, you can disable the Lua error popups so that they stop interfering with your play.

One thing that causes problems is adding people to your group while in combat. Whenever that happens, I am unable to click on them using the raid frame.
Philster043 Aug 29th 2011 3:13PM
My biggest problem is somebody apparently going offline in the raid UI when they're actually still online. It's very distracting to have that "gray" box in with the greens... not to mention it doesn't show their health either. If that happens that raider is probably SOL, unless they give me a chance to re-log and that usually works.
I'd definitely like to see this problem resolved.

Now it's my turn to laugh at all the guys who are so adamantly against addons and refuse to use them.
"But the Blizz UI doesn't break on patch day"
Muahahahahaha

The OLD Bliz default raids frames aren't broken! :-D (Aside from a small range-in-raid bug) Yes, they are still in the game, you just have to know how to get at them. And thank the spirits for that, because I find both the new Bliz default and any healing/bar addon aside from ShadowedUF to be unusable. >.

I'm not a healer and I hate PvE in general. Whatever they do, I want those frames that pop up in my face whenever I enter a battleground to go to hell.

Does Al'Akir drop a shoulder and head token 100% of the time now instead of his other drops?
Task Aug 29th 2011 1:17PM
As far as I know, I don't think Al'Akir has ever dropped tier tokens since launch. It's always been Nef and Cho'Gall, unless I'm wrong.
Jason Aug 29th 2011 1:23PM
My experience has been that he drops one of those tokens each kill now. They added those to his loot table in 4.1.
Telwar Aug 29th 2011 1:27PM
The tokens are on his list, but they don't have a guaranteed slot like they do on Nef or Cho. It's entirely possible that he won't drop them. I know we've seen him drop them one week and not at all the next.
Zabre Aug 29th 2011 1:26PM
@Task: You are wrong. He drops either or.
MattKrotzer Aug 29th 2011 1:27PM
I don't believe it's 100%, but they're now on his loot table, and will drop frequently, but not always. (I can vouch for the drop rate not being 100%, personally.)
shieryma Aug 29th 2011 1:30PM
I downed him last on 7/1/2011 and no token dropped, so it's not 100%.
Starlin Aug 29th 2011 1:31PM
I ask because we got one of each this week. Pugs in the group said he drops one of each now every kill. I never saw this in the hot fixes or anywhere else. Looking for some confirmation beyond anecdotal evidence.
Donhorn Aug 29th 2011 1:34PM
I've only seen him down once, and actually that one time he dropped the head token for my Druid. That was a happy day indeed.
