Breakfast Topic: Do you have NPC loyalty?

Sometimes, I can be pretty picky. I like to order the same thing at restaurants and often choose which restaurant to go to based on which main course I'm most hungry for that night. I tend to find things I like and stick with them. There might be something better out there, but I'm OK with what I know I like.
The same is true in Warcraft. There are certain vendors I always visit for certain tasks. There's Ginny Longberry in Ironforge for all my reagent needs. She was the first NPC I found in Ironforge selling the reagents I needed, so I've continued to patronize her. She's conveniently located near the mage portal destination, so my mage continues visiting her to this day.
Until the Shattering, Auctioneer Jaxon was my go-to auctioneer. She always seemed the most friendly, plus you could access her through the wall while next to the mailbox. After moving to the Dwarven Quarter, I've become attached to Lauffer, Billibub Cogspinner and Kaita Deepforge for my auctioning, vendoring and repairing needs. Leslie Wainright handles my bank account and Jennea Cannon provides my training.
Which NPCs are you loyal to? Or do you just do what's convenient, not caring who gets your business?

This is usually me, expect my Taurens do love some Auctioneer Stampi.
Feldring Aug 30th 2011 10:02AM
Who doesn't love Auctioneer Stampi? Before logging out after "work", my tauren bank alt always /agrees with Auctioneer Stampi, /casts War Stomp, and /cheers.

When I'm in Thunderbluff. Stampi is always the auctioneer I go to. Not really sure why exactly, but its always him.

Convenience and routine as well. Except for when my mage was leveling inscription. I found that the Exodar was excellent from level 1-200. It was the closest from vendor to bank (after you learn where it is) and of course email was right there. Now since they updated all the trainers to have 1-525 the Exodar is the best for learning inscription. And yes there are certain vendors I go to, more because they are convenient and I know where they are. There are certain cities I will port to on my mage to find vendors/trainers. Sometimes if SW is too crowded I will take a tram or a boat to get away from the bustle.

Ironforge is home for quite a few of my alts, so the armorers next to the bank tend to get most of their repair business. I think that's about it, though - most of my alts are out and about questing too much to visit the same NPC all the time.

In terms of business, I choose whoever is closest to me at the time. But I do have "friendships" with NPCs, for example, my troll (Revnah, whose name I borrow to post here) still regularly visits Revantusk Village to /dance with Otho the shopkeeper, to the sound of the tribal drums from upstairs :-)

Kaja in Org, I used her for repairs before cata and now my HS is set a few paces from her after it. She could probably buy the city from the money I've given her.

Kaja for the win! I have used her for all my horde alts repairs since 2007. I once proposed to her, but she just laughed and took my money. Still love her though.

Yes Kaja, always. I was kind of upset when she got shoved out of the way for new barracks, but now i just use the banker and auctioneer nearby. Plus the forge and anvil are super convenient. I have fond memories of repairing with her every time i came to the city to train while leveling my main...and all subsequent alts.

lol-- I knew it couldn't be just me-- I stay in Old Town with all my chars since i start playing and the fella across he street is he one who repairs my name (guess I never got to remember his name, but a nice chap nonetheless and I'm bad with faces/names anyways)-- I always go to the same banker and always waved at the Kalu'Ak that kept my hearthstone while I was finishing my rep with them and had to stay in his tent for a while

Auctioneer Hesse. Having someone with sharp teeth and claws seems the most sensible choice for protecting ones investments.
eel5pe Aug 30th 2011 10:57AM
My girlfriend visits him exclusively for her auction needs.
If our first kid has lupine tendencies, him and I and my warhammer will have a brief chat.
Calicia Aug 30th 2011 11:01AM
Cosign. I always use Hess.
Necromann Aug 30th 2011 8:15AM
Dark Lady watch over you.
Necromann Aug 30th 2011 9:21AM
Oh, the question meant vender NPC. In that case, i don't have a preference.

In Dal, I use Sisters Sorcerous for reagents. I go to the Tauren repair near the Tauren Inn in Org just because I'm hearthed there and she's the closest but I don't remember what her name is. I guess I'm more about convenience than loyalty.
Shinae Aug 30th 2011 10:37AM
I almost miss going to the Sisters to buy candles on my priest. I'd often run into other priests there, especially raiding ones, and I'd wind up coveting their gear.

For repairs and vendoring stuff while in Orgrimmar, it's gotta be Kaja. She's been the go-to cow since back in Vanilla, when she was right there by Org's bank, mailbox, and auction house. Now that she's moved to the Tauren district in Org, she's still conveniently located and has the bonus of being in a less crowded part of town.
On a side note, Kaja's larger-than-normal model meant that back in Vanilla, her shop was usually crowded with a bunch of characters staring at her chest while they repaired/vendored. Hey, it was eye level for male Tauren.
For reagents, it used to always be Chepi in Thunder Bluff. Before Orgrimmar's redesign, Thunder Bluff was where a lot of us had our hearthstones set because of the convenience of repairs, vendors, bank, and the ah close together and with far less of a crowd. Chepi was always there for us, and still is for a some of my alts who still 'live' in Thunder Bluff. Nowadays, however, with most of my character's set to hearth to Org, I reluctantly get reagents from Maginus or Magenus, or whatever his name is. Some Orc in the drag.
Gordal Aug 30th 2011 3:51PM
Kaja, forever and always. Boven has pretty much already mentioned why my Hearthstone is set to the Valley of Wisdom. Since I don't require reagents for my Hunter, the lack of a Reagent Vendor doesn't hurt him much.
But seriously, Valley of Wisdom is where it's at these days. Inn, Auction House, Kaja, and an Auctioneer all in very close proximity to each other, but with the two other advantages of being in a fairly open space to allow crowds to mingle and everyone other than the Innkeeper not being inside pointless buildings to cause pointless dismountings.
Suck it, Valley of Strength.
